Have you noticed that the mouse stays away when things are going OK? As soon as it starts going bad he will morph into his rat persona and appear like the grim reaper.
Brilliant by the openers last night, I would say they have almost negated the impact of Head's scoring last night.
I would have taken chasing 225 from the position England were in at lunch on Friday. With all 10 wickets left that's how it should be seen this morning.
I also think the top 3 should just go for it. Yes they may get out and it looks reckless but as others have said they could be out trying to protect their wicket with the score going nowhere.

Evens in my view. It's a great position, but if this series has shown us anything both sides can collapse from an advantageos position.

We need 230, this team loves to chase, 10 wickets, a long tail, Joe root, an alright day 4 pitch and a lightning fast outfield.
Sure a collapse is always in the back of the mind of any English cricket fan but we are clear favourites. We will probably make hard work of it but I think we will get over the line quite comfortably in the end.
Send Bairstow in at 3. Match winning if it works, not the end of the world if it doesn't.

Does seem to be some players that it would take a miracle to be dropped in this set up and Bairstow is amongst those I think. Guess he was a match winner before his injury but hasn’t looked as good on return (against a far better bowling attack mind). Also looks like he’s a fair bit fatter.
Foakes could have been the difference in all 3 games given that Bairstow hasn’t scored big.
