Strengthening the batting to try and bat out time if there will be weather?
Travis Head can bowl some decent offies, probably thinking it's better than picking a spinner for the sake of it that's probably not up to it just yet.Cummins coming in at 9. Eesh. 5 seamers. Can we expect the pitch to

I was the musical support act for Botham earlier this year in a pub in Woodside, Victoria. He did an hour long Q&A/after dinner thing and he was a complete nob. Made multiple awful comments about the late Peter Roebuck (with whom he had another long running feud), did the worst faux Pakistani accent when talking about Imran Khan and made repeated comments about how he was needed in the House of Lords for the inevitable return of a ‘bloody Labour government’.I’ve been reliably informed that Botham is a nasty piece of work so I’m all in with Chappell on this.
I don't think they have gone cowardly at all. Granted I'm Aussie so I'm probably biased.Weather permitting we win this, aussies undoubtedly have better players but they have gone into their cowardly shells too much.
If we lose a day to rain (Saturday could be a washout) then I think bowl first and give yourself best chance of getting 20 wickets, we also know this team loves to chaseStokes wins the toss and bowls
Not sure what was the right decision
With the breeze and cliud cover I think it is the right decision. If Anderson fires, he could rip through them. Obviously if that doesn't happen, the it is the worst decision ever.Stokes wins the toss and bowls

I think for the first few tests our tail has been quite long, Ollie Robinson was right there. I also think Murphy is not up to it yet and would get targeted. Again, I really though the conditions and England's aggression would have been good for Boland, but he doesn't appear to be anywhere near as accurate as he has been.
Starc whilst getting wickets is bowling a lot of puss and I'm only ok with him as the left armer is good to have.
Look I think this Bazball visionary stuff is a little over blown. I just call it good aggressive cricket played to the individual players style, which is great I just don't think its revolutionary. I think Australia's approach has been fine in terms of their batting, it would be folly to try to play like England do. I do think the short, pitched half trackers bowling we have done up to know is pants on head stupid.
Loved Woods bowling, Stokes is one of test crickets most cleanest hitting batsman Head and Kawahja have been gritty as hell, Cummins is bowling well, but gee the Aussies need to pitch the ball up more.
I don't think the declaration in the first test lost England the match, it was the second innings batting.

Looks like one of those where there's not really a right or wrong decision. You just have to play well and start well. With the breeze and cliud cover I think it is the right decision. If Anderson fires, he could rip through them. Obviously if that doesn't happen, the it is the worst decision ever.
