The Ashes 2023

Looks like one of those where there's not really a right or wrong decision. You just have to play well and start well.

We need to win and won’t have more than three days.

Best way to go about it is bowl first and chase last no matter the conditions imo.

I don't think they have gone cowardly at all. Granted I'm Aussie so I'm probably biased.

I think for the first few tests our tail has been quite long, Ollie Robinson was right there. I also think Murphy is not up to it yet and would get targeted. Again, I really though the conditions and England's aggression would have been good for Boland, but he doesn't appear to be anywhere near as accurate as he has been.

Starc whilst getting wickets is bowling a lot of puss and I'm only ok with him as the left armer is good to have.

Look I think this Bazball visionary stuff is a little over blown. I just call it good aggressive cricket played to the individual players style, which is great I just don't think its revolutionary. I think Australia's approach has been fine in terms of their batting, it would be folly to try to play like England do. I do think the short, pitched half trackers bowling we have done up to know is pants on head stupid.

Loved Woods bowling, Stokes is one of test crickets most cleanest hitting batsman Head and Kawahja have been gritty as hell, Cummins is bowling well, but gee the Aussies need to pitch the ball up more.

I don't think the declaration in the first test lost England the match, it was the second innings batting.
This Aussie line up tells you everything you need to know about their mindset.
They have been negative from day 1 of the 1st Test but it's worked for them.
They are clearly more interested in not losing rather than winning by packing the batting.

Clearly Australia's session.
Pitiful over rate.
If England aren't batting by tonight I can't see England winning this with the weather forecast.

I’m not so sure I mean this isn’t the aussies of the mid 00’s I think this lot probably are natural more defensive but in terms of how we have played and this particular side I think it’s pretty moderate. I mean Boland has been bowling poorly and Lyon is out I think green gives us more than Murphy with the ball. I kind of think it’s pretty much playing as the terms dictate which isn’t too bad considering we are the visitors
