The tactics are completely correct against a team who don't look to bat time. Its given England new questions to answer. Are they content to rotate strike and take easy singles while remaining patient?
Of course they are. There are many ways to score 5 an over especially when you are gifted singles with no risk
 

England’s best chance the draw now, but that’s also odds on if they can make it to 250 or so and last most of tomorrow.

Tuesday looks a write off weather wise.

I'm not sure why they waited so long to call off the day's play. There was water everywhere, just look at the splash when Green took the catch. It was barely playable for club cricket, never mind a test match.

It was definitely a good thing for England there was no more cricket because those conditions were awful for batting.

Australia's ball will be a mess after being wet though but yes only losing 2 in those conditions is a win for England.
 
Genuine question about ali getting a fine....
Was the spray a deliberate attempt to influence his bowling, or was it just trying to alleviate the injured finger?
But harsh if it was for a medical issue
