I'm not sure about that tbh. Broad Anderson and Robinson weren't good at all today and bowled with no pace. You cant then take Stokes out of the bowling line up and expect the side to be well balanced.

For me he kind of has to be an all rounder to make the side balanced and effective. Its not working at the minute so he might need to play a test or 2 just as a batter but its not a sustainable option longer term.

It’s weird, the player whose place should be getting queried the most is probably stokes.

Smith's average in England is crazy - his batting in 2019 was other worldly at times, when he gets into this zone feels impossible to get him out.

Be an interesting debate as to how highly Smith ranks in modern Aussie batters. Ponting a much better batter to watch, but arguably Smith more efficient - think they are the top 2 I have seen.
