Johnson to Cook, OUT, oh dear! Cook misses his century and Johnson, of all people gets the breakthrough! It's a straight ball that keeps a touch low and strikes Cook in line, Billy Doctrove gives him lbw

AN Cook lbw b Johnson 95 (147b 18x4 0x6) SR: 64.62

Hilfenhaus to Bopara, OUT, he's got him! That's a great ball, straightening instead of swinging, and Bopara is struck below the knee roll dead in front.

RS Bopara lbw b Hilfenhaus 18 (19b 4x4 0x6) SR: 94.73

Time for the England collapse

255/2 at tea. Strauss has reached his century and KP there with 22. Good session, with the Aussies taking a couple of wickets, just need a final push from England during the final 28 overs of the day now.

Siddle to Pietersen, OUT, got him! Terrific ball that moved away just a touch from Pietersen, drawn forward into a drive, and it took a thin outside edge to a diving Haddin behind the stumps

KP Pietersen c †Haddin b Siddle 32 (42b 4x4 0x6) SR: 76.19

KP's been very dissapointing this series so far. Has had more starts than Mark Webber but can't go on with it.

Finished on 364/6 at stumps. Strauss remains not out on 161, could have a been a lot better as those late wickets keep the Aussies in this game at the moment. Interesting first session ahead tomorrow.

Bit of an annoying day. Before the start I'd have probably taken where we are now, but from the position we were in it was a heavy fall. Everyone except the openers has a lot to answer for.

Priors wicket was a cracking delivery though. Johnson gets about 1 in 50 right.

You mean German GP Champion Mark Webber? I was going to make a thread the other day about it but forgot.

Game on for this one, tommorow will be good. (when we get into bat)

Just about Englands day,just.

Some woefull bowling in the morning session by the aussies havent seen them as bad as that for a long time but they came back well.

Looks a good pitch again so its going to be interesting to see how our bowlers do on it

Yes how good was that. Great to see him finally get some luck this year.

Considering your position earlier in the day 190 odd for none, and your position now being 6 down for 364 I'd say at the very least the day was split and maybe even our way. The pitch looks like an absolute road, flat as a tack with nothing in it for any type of bowler. The way we came back was brilliant and if we can somehow keep you guys to a similar scare as the first test then I have no doubt our bowlers can get the job done this time.

When's Brett Lee back.

Hopefully after the Ashes. Very happy with the pace trio we have at the moment (even though MJ is bowling like [Poor language removed]), and would have Stuart Clark in well before him.

Thought MJ was gonna kick - our - arse ?? Now you're dropping him !!! ( Tho , I admit , I did bck him as top Aus bowler . Just shows what I know . )
Spawny arse convicts again .
Had no right to be anywhere near this game .

" ... and he just smiled , and gave me a vegemite sandwich , ... "
