Thought MJ was gonna kick - our - arse ?? Now you're dropping him !!! ( Tho , I admit , I did bck him as top Aus bowler . Just shows what I know . )
Spawny arse convicts again .
Had no right to be anywhere near this game .

" ... and he just smiled , and gave me a vegemite sandwich , ... "

Where the **** did I say I wanted to drop him mate? I actually said the opposite..."Very happy with the pace trio we have at the moment".

Pietersen c Haddin b Siddle 32
Collingwood c Siddle b Clarke 16
Prior b Johnson 8
Flintoff c Ponting b Hilfenhaus 4
Broad not out 7

Broad ruined the sequence by not getting out for two

The covers are off, though it has been chucking down with rain overnight. More rain is scheduled during the day today so might be a very stop start to the day’s play.

Strauss goes second ball.........

Hilfenhaus to Strauss, OUT, GOT HIM! Strauss leaves one which bends back - a disastrous leave from the England captain and his off stump is pegged back. What a start for Australia!

AJ Strauss b Hilfenhaus 161 (268b 22x4 0x6) SR: 60.07

Aussies will be batting before lunch at this rate.....

More like before 11.30am....

Siddle to Swann, OUT, edged to Ponting at second slip! Brilliant from Siddle, pitching it short and angling it up the hill and at chest height to Swann who angles it straight to slip

GP Swann c Ponting b Siddle 4 (6b 1x4 0x6) SR: 66.66

Hilfenhaus to Broad, OUT, bowled him! Three in fifteen minutes for Australia as Broad again attempts a loose drive outside off and drags it on

SCJ Broad b Hilfenhaus 16 (26b 2x4 0x6) SR: 61.53

Good knock from Anderson there, and that's England's innings. They were looking for 450+ and though they'll be disappointed, 425 is still a decent score. More importantly, the ball is moving considerably this morning and their bowlers - Onions and Anderson in particular - have an opportunity to do the same to Australia's top-order.

101.4
Johnson to Anderson, OUT, got him this time! Got big on him and square cut it low to gully who took a fine catch

JM Anderson c Hussey b Johnson 29 (25b 5x4 0x6) SR: 116.00

Anderson to Hughes, OUT, Anderson strikes! Hughes tries to pull down leg side and England are confident it's tickled his gloves, Rudi Koertzen's left index finger eventually confirms their suspicions

PJ Hughes c †Prior b Anderson 4 (9b 1x4 0x6) SR: 44.44

Yeah mate. Hughes failed again :(. A bit unlucky as he got out with a ball going down leg which got the faintest of edges on his glove of all places still his pull shot in that situation remains non-existant. Jimmy Anderson is bowling beautifully for the Poms and Flintoff is bowling quick but way too short, taking out the bowled and LBW.
