can we not commission some didgeredoo players launching our "euro walkabout" to bring them back down to earth with a bump and get them talking about something else, there could be a stylophone accompanyment.

Well in the end they didnt make us wait long for defeat.

Bad defeat other than Broad there nothing positive to take out of the game, given the form of the top 5 i still wonder why the hell we played the extra bowler..the mind boggles only Strauss has made runs through this series the rest have just not performed as well as him simple as that.

We're not a good side i've said it all summer, the simple fact of this series is that the Aussies arent as good as they once where and frankly havent played as well as we know they can of course they put that right over the last 2 and half days thats for sure.

Sadly i just cant see us winning at the oval i hope i'm wrong but i fear if its this Aussie side that turns up and not the team of the last 2 tests we're in a bit of bother tbh.

Once Strauss was out and knowing that he was the only one making runs and with no Pieterson to rely on are arses went and we crumbled! need some changes for the final test, if not we'll lose, but with some positive changes i don't think all is lost

I should like to propose myself as , after being England's luckiest Cricket fan - 05 ; I have now been relegated to England's Unluckiest Cricket Fan .
05 - I got in at the Great Old Trafford Lock Out , and , even luckier , copped for last day tickets - for a 10r each , after applying months previous , for the Oval and witnessed KP's finest hour .
RESULT !!!
However , fast forward 4 years . I couldnt get to Cardiff - Bob the fukn Builders . Edgbaston rained all day , and well , I had tickets for today !!!

I hate my life !!!

Come on ( Freddie ) England !!!

Order has returned to the Universe...my nets back on with a new provider for half the price and twice the speed, and the Poms are back to rolling over meekly in the face of the Aussie Blowtorch.

Should be a cracker 5th test and I'm glad it's come to this. Freddy and KP need to get over the heartlidge and front up. He shouldnt worry about his knees, they'll carry him around Preston for the rest of his life if he wins it.

I think it shows how poor the state of english cricket at the moment is when we're even considering Mark "mr ballroom dancer himself" Ramprakash for a recall:(

He's had many, many chances in the past so why the hell is he being considered for a recall...its utter madness he's 40 years old FFS but more than that after being given chance after chance after chance he still wasnt good enough to hold down a test place..if he was he would have still been playing for england.

I dont care that he still scores for fun in county cricket thats a whole different ball game to test cricket, hell i could get my lardy arse for a few runs against the county trundlers that haunt our game.

If this comes to pass bring back Caddick and hell see if Gough wants a game..Athers and Nasser still look fit for it,bollocks to it call them up as well,no **** it get Boycott back he'd get them in shape.

I love my cricket, possibly more than football nowadays, but this move strikes me as nothing more than utter desperation..all this after,i'll grant you,a bad defeat its like the old days again, the Aussies must be pissing themselves laughing at us with this news

Matey i'm bloody sure KP would be fit if it was a one day game with a few million riding on it but as its a test theres no chance of him being there..as for Flintoff i doubt he'll be there either..hope i'm wrong about that though.

.

Kid , his achilles was cut , ( by the Surgeon ) . It's like the old chicken's foot thing . Boss when there's cartlidge , when it's cut , it's just pulling at saggy skin . ( And we all know what that feels like , eh gents ??? )
He is undoubtably in love with himself , but Champions , which he certainly is , relish the big games . They do not come bigger than a one - off ame for the Ashes . He'd be here if he could .

P.S. Notice none of the numbers - on - chests - crowd have mentioned that this is our second team ???
In fact , count , Jones - The - Reverse - Swing - ( Sorry , Simon Katich , Damien Martyn , Adam Gilchrist - Church , ... ) , and it's only just about our , stiffs !!!
Still , they did spend SO-O-O-O-O much dough on that Academy gaff . Suppose they have to win something now and again . What with the Rugger , Olympics , Boxing , etc , eh ???
Bless .

Interview with a leading Australian Academic in the wake of Headingley victory , ...

" Yeah . No . Look .
Yeah .
Yeah , look . No .
Yeah . "
( Possibly one more , " look " , but I couldn't swear to it ) .
Yeah , ....

I don't mean to be an ass, but franckly apart from petanque i reckon cricket is about the most boring sport ever, possibly because i've never fully understood it, possibly because this pakistani friend who played for the singapore U-19 national team bowled a ball right into my head which knocked me out, but what excites you all over it? (not a sarcastic question, just want to know where the excitement lies because it's one of the only sports where i don't know what the hell's going on)
