I don't mean to be an ass, but franckly apart from petanque i reckon cricket is about the most boring sport ever, possibly because i've never fully understood it, possibly because this pakistani friend who played for the singapore U-19 national team bowled a ball right into my head which knocked me out, but what excites you all over it? (not a sarcastic question, just want to know where the excitement lies because it's one of the only sports where i don't know what the hell's going on)

It's marmite is cricket. Love it or hate it.

I think it's awesome. Just so much technical ability involved.

In fact , count , Jones - The - Reverse - Swing - ( Sorry , Simon Katich , Damien Martyn , Adam Gilchrist - Church , ... ) , and it's only just about our , stiffs !!!
Still , they did spend SO-O-O-O-O much dough on that Academy gaff . Suppose they have to win something now and again . What with the Rugger , Olympics , Boxing , etc , eh ???

Where's your FIRST team then mate?? Punting on the Thames?? You should get Atherton and Nasser back, in fact, you could probably recall the 600+ players they've managed to pick over a 100 years and you still wouldnt get a result. SPEARHEAD's Hilfenhaus, Siddle, Johnson and Clark ate you alive. The Harlem Globetrotters Broad was the only man to stand up in the game where you could have won it, and been laughing in the last one.

But no, 3 days later that Ashes dream is just that for the overpaid Engerlish. Game on for the last test, but just the thought of Warnie sitting up there in the commentary box has probably the English Batsmen skidding in their undies.

To me KP seems more motivated by money than any sort of pride..i bet me left bollock he'd be playing for south africa if they paid them more than a pound a day that the players get for turning out in a test.

Not sure what you mean about the second team mate..like it or not this is the best we can muster..Jones's career was over a long time ago the poor bugger just wont give up,bloody shame too fine bowler that lad.

Rob Key and Trott have to come into contention now,not for the love of god Ramprakash (i tell you i will explode if that happens),we have to look forward not behind us..if Flintoff is fit (and to me its a hell of a big if) then yes he's plays..but i'm talking 95% fit any less and its just not worth it.

They will come at us hard..like an F'ing steam train of that i'm sure has this current england team the mental ability to stand up to it..i'm not so sure tbh.

Wahtever happens with regards to this series we have to look long and hard at the team see who's worth keeping and have the courage to disgard the rubbish,we cant keep going back to tired old players who just arent doing it anymore.

Like it or not the money the Aussies spent on the acadamy was worth its weight in gold..they've been the best team in the world for the 15-17 years or so,indeed this rampant run began back in 1989 when they hammered us here they've gone from strengh to strengh since then though i do suspect the massive pool of talent is drying up finally.
