The whole series to me has been about the complacency of the English, and the Aussies work rate and them always finding a least one big partnership.

The South African series will be interesting, confidence may see the Aussies do surprisingly well in that series. I don't see them winning though.

I do agree with that, poor captaincy included, we assumed we could just go through the aussies, even after the warning signs were there in the summer

Bit of both to be honest, I'd question the preperation, were we even ready for a fight, then once under the cosh we have a very negitive captain who became even more negative and went right into his shell. The aussies have shown how when you have your foot on the oppo's throat you have to stamp, right from day one england were all to willing to allow the aussie's off the hook, along with some very good counter attacking from haddin
