The Banned Obituaries

Ahhhh of course, I bump into Evertonian Old Trafford stewards who have also worked in recruitment all the time on Everton forums.

You’re making yourself look an absolute gimp here mate. Everyone is laughing at you. Just come clean, you are a previously banned supporter of another team.

Easily 90-95% of all stewards at clubs aren't actually supporters of said clubs. Clubs don't like employing fans as stewards because, primarily, your job is to watch the crowd, not the game. Makes sense when you think about it. Most of the many thousands of stewards I worked with at Old Trafford were City, Oldham, Stockport and Everton fans.

Check it out independently if you wish.

Also, on further research it appears you bigged up Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing on your old account Cookachoo, and you big up the likes of Declan Rice and Joelinton on your current account. You have form for bigging up terrible footballers.

Ah, you didn't mention that, you've got me lock, stock, then mate

No I haven't got you, @Efcjake has. Your case has been closed, it's over.

It's getting embarassing now. So undignified to see you scabbling about in the dirt like an insect. Show some cojones and tell it like it really is!

Ok, lid, whatever helps you sleep at night. Like I said, people have said i've been this account or that account for as long as I've been here. It's no different. :coffee:

Let's crack on with the Footy chat, eh?

So, hang fire, because we’re both stewards that have worked in recruitment? That’s the connection? lol. Can’t wait to see this one on Columbo. For starters, I’ve never worked at Goodison.

Lads, you realise United employ about 6,000 stewards per season? I’d say roughly 50% change each year too as it’s casual work and most bounce around to other grounds too. Across the 10 years specified you’re looking at a pool of circa 50,000 people - and you’ve whittled it down to 1 with recruitment?

Admittedly, there’s a good chance if he worked on the SE at United same time I did, there’s a good chance I’d have seen the cat at pre-match briefings, so I’m somewhat curious.

Finally, Soccerpulse was a generic Football forum, not an Everton one. Look it up and see for yourself, plenty of posts you can find on Google verifying it as a big forum back in the day, nothing to do with Everton.

Got to say, it’s looking tenuous and very flimsy lads...
Come clean and confess your sins @Keiran

That's funny because Cookachoo said the exact same thing in his defence mate.

Another coincidence that I'm sure

You'd be surprised, at all the grounds i've worked at, the home fans are actually in a minority on the staff. The thinking is that if you've got all Man United fan stewards then they'll be less likely to do their job. There are United fans, but the overwhelming majority consists of Citeh, Oldham, Stockport, Liverpool and Everton fans. You get the odd Notlob, Gooner and Chelski fan too. At least two games a year i get paid to watch Everton, and the rest of the time your just getting paid to watch Football. Its a cushy little job if you love match day and watching Football. Obviously if the only Football you watch is Everton, then its probably not for you.

lol Thanks for proving my point for me, then!

He’s absolutely right. And i’d encourage you to verify with any steward you know at practically any ground across the country, I’d wager it’s the same for them too.
