The bending of PSR rules

Who on earth decides on what an arms length price is? Far too many factors. If we were for some reason selling Myko, he’d be worth far more to us than his true market value, just because he’s our only proper left back. Or if Rice gets injured slowly pondering his way round for England, Arsenal may go to £60m for Onana when he’s isn’t worth near that.

Utter nonsense. The only way to try to prevent it is to stop clubs buying from/selling to the same club in a single window. Even that won’t work as clubs would do triangle swaps.

The minute one of the PL’s cash cows wanted to do this, they’d batter this away with legal threats unless every fee for every player was decided by a central body adhering to a documented valuation method. Given other leagues wouldnt be so stupid, they’d be isolating and trashing their own PL empire.

The transfer market is incredibly complex and every player is an individual unique human being with different strengths and weaknesses. The idea that you can put an objective valuation on each individual is ludicrous and a little bit sinister.

Making my blood boil this.

Them corrupt idiots have no shame and no ‘kin clue!

How the hell can they ever prove certain transactions are fraudulent when inflated fees for players have been happening for years?!

Look at the Saudi fees for starters,

Really is quite unbelievable

You have to sell players to stay sustainable, not for too much money though, for the amount we say. - The PL

They're not even trying to hide the abject corruption now.

Lest be honest these psr rules are there to stop teams challenging the established 6.

Then if a team does manage to break the glass ceiling they either cant strengthen and will struggle to deal with europe and the league, meaning they wont qualify for top 6 again.

Or they do strengthen then the next season psr will mean they have to sell their best players on the cheap and the only teams that can pay the wages is the established 6.

They were always going to push back on these deals.

Out of interest, what's the legality of the premier league starting to infringe on the running of private companies?

You would think we had just done a £50m swap deal for Dobbin the way this is rumbling.

Look at the prices the RS, City and Chelseas youth have been going for the last 6/7 years and not a peep. There is no way they can determine fair market value of a player.
