The Best Chippy in Liverpool?

Always used to be Pitarras in Litherland for me, but it's probably 20 years since I've been there. Is it even still there?

Pitarras is still there, and has always had an amazing reputation, but I'm not keen myself... maybe it was amazing years ago and has gone down hill...

20 years since I had a chippie meal in Liverpool, sadly.

I used to love:

Holland's steak and kidney pudding, chips peas and gravy from the chippy at the top of Seal Street on the left.

Fish cakes from Basil's on Lisburn Lane (next to the Post Office) soaked in vinegar

Sausage supper (sausage, chips, peas and gravy) from Betties on Hornspit Lane

Cod and Chips from the Chippie in Larkhill, Queens Drive - can't remember its' name

Serratis also known as monte carlo on orrell lane by the orell park train stn...won the echo chippy of the yr award twice.

One that springs to mind but i don't know the name of is just off county road, it's sorta opposite the black horse but more on that estate there. A mate lives on Bellamy Rd and he took me there last time i went to his, the fella who owns it has ran it for about 20 years apparently, cooks everything fresh aswell instead of keeping it hot on a serve over.

There's a chippy in Ormskirk called the Acropolis which is nice aswell, bout 6 quid for a fish dinner like but worth every bite!

I'm gonna go ahead and say it... The Lobster Pot is overrated.

Reason everyone thinks it's the dogs is because you only really ever end up in there after a boozy night out in town when everything you eat automatically becomes "the best thing ever" anyway.

I will be honest lads, im starving here in work and these beans on toast arnt hitting the spot at all after reading through this thread.
Hate my life
