The thing about the Moyes Must Stay Because We'll Fall Apart argument is that it was used when Smith was manager by people who should have known better. He is NOT irreplaceable...far from it. His strength has been getting discipline and hard work into an organisation and making that the norm (which is why many scratched their heads and wondered wtf he was doing tolerating Drenthe...sounds like he lost it to me). It really isnt his signing policy, which is hit and miss if you care to make the pros and cons lists up.
We need more than perspiration now, we need inspiration to go with it....because sure as eggs is eggs Billy Liar isn't going to be the one to change things in an upward directon.
