The David Moyes debate

Agreed. Jelavic 5million.

Wow just wow.

It was like some hunter on the Serengeti plains of Africa.

Everton and Moyes saw the wounded animal, Rangers in distress.

POW!!!! Everton and Moyes come running out of the undergrowth and snap the neck of the beast. Pinching the juciest morsel, before dragging it back to the undergrowth.

David Attenborough could make a programme all about Everton.

Jelavic is a class signing no denying that but how many times can you pull a rabbit out of a hat. No denying he's made good buys and he's made not so good buys all in all i think he's done fantastic in the transfer market but if he doesn't want to be here anymore then he can sod off.

This is 2 separate arguments..

He HAS NOT SAID HE WANTS TO LEAVE..

I just said HE MIGHT WELL

people on the outside of everton or as alan stubbs has been quoted today(obviously don't know how true it is) that he may go 'to a bigger club' for success.

People in this case means the media or ex proffesionals, hope that clears it up damon.

Ignore them , Lad

Its been Wenger , Macini , AVB , McLeish ,The HS , now its Ginger's turn ..

Obviously Moyes can do it reguarly.

Baines, Jelavic etc....

I sense its your attitude not Moyes. Actually.

That's three posts of yours in a row, you've had a go at the manager. About "arse licking" and "people" and "doesn't want to be here"

But you haven't indicated one shred of evidence to say who those people are anything else. All you've proved is - you are fed up - but it appears to be mainly in your head?

Ten years is ten years. Enough for any manager in one job.

I can't argue with your first sentence but the second one is patently untrue, Dave.

We have to accept that times have changed and that money talks in football more than it ever did. I've no doubt that we'd have won things with Moyes in the post-Catterick John Moores era but success for Everton, at least until there is heavy investment, has to be staying well clear of relegation battles. We may not like that, but that's the bottom line. Let's face it, even with Moyes (or O'Neill or Sir Alex, for that matter) we'll be much shorter odds to go down each year than win the league. And anyway, football clubs - despite what kopites might say - do not exist to win trophies, they exist to play football.

you're a strange man damon whats happened to you you used to talk sense, whats happened the meds failed have they

Moyes eye for talent can't be questioned, IMO. Even Alex Ferguson spooged £25m approx on Veron, and bought Bellion, Kleberson and Djemba-Djemba in the same season.

He's been unlucky (Pienaar aside), whenever he's tried to bring in any wingers. Van Der Meyde, was class, lost his way, the lad couldn't be helped. Drenthe, was class, temper problems, still mental. Donovan, top top player, but MLS poster boy and as such can't get him permanently.

One thing Moyes needs to realise, is HOW WELL we play with a CREATIVE attacking mid, instead of Cahill. Wolves last season, Osman plays there, we spank them. This season, against Swansea at home, created loads of chances, should've scored more than we did. Sunderland at home...well...you know how that one went.

The one mistake he constantly makes is always dropping the creative attacking mid (Pienaar, Ossie), for Cahill whenever he's fit again. I love Tim, but we play much better, create more chances, and score more goals, when he's not in the team.

Its those phone hacking journalist types.

They need "something to write about".

I used to let it bother me. Then I watched the Levesen inquiry. Now I know what. Journalists actually are. Now I just don't care.

You could write anything about anyone for a paycheque. True or not. ... That's what they do.
