Her career never recovered after she tore up a photo of the Pope live on American TV to highlight the abuse of children within the Catholic church. One hit cover version wonder. Sad life though, rip.
I agreeSinead O'Connor. No just no. Loved her, loved her music. A troubled soul, misguided and outspoken (to say the least) but she didn't shy away from her beliefs.
Especially religion. I’m talking about how she called out the Catholic Church, how it ballsed up Ireland. Its oppressive views on abortion, women’s rights, gay rights etc alongside child abuse!
Anyone disagree with me, I don't care. People like me give a toss about that kind of thing.
Joe Pesci wanted to slap her on live tv if memory serves? Her career never recovered after she tore up a photo of the Pope live on American TV to highlight the abuse of children within the Catholic church.
I think the antics of trying to expose the Catholic church were worthwhile.Felt sorry for her regarding the mental health issues, but more famous for her antics than her actual music. Not a fan tbh.
Correct. Even Madonna shunned herJoe Pesci wanted to slap her on live tv if memory serves?
I'd take that as a compliment.Correct. Even Madonna shunned her
Watched ‘The Damned United’ again for the umpteenth time the other day, and Michael Sheen channels an excellent Cloughie. Sad to know that all of the characters have gone. I mean, we’re left with the likes of Jimmy ‘Bantz’ Bulllard now - I miss old football.Duncan McKenzie always tells the story about when Trevor Francis signed for Forest.
Brian Clough - "Whenever you get the ball, just pass to John Robertson"
Francis - "but you've just paid a million quid for me. Why do you want me to always pass it to him?"
Clough - "Because young man, John Robertson is a far better footballer than you will ever be" lol
Stinging. Although quite unsavoury with some of his points of view, it's good he has used such barbarous behaviour to smite the hypocrites that parasitically occupy the music scene.Morrissey's statement regarding Sinead is pretty much spot on.
