Anyone who says they have never said what is now considered racist ,sexist ,genetically incorrect or any one of the plentitude of other "not PC" comments is a liar or fooling themselves . I most certainly have without realising the consequence or the deeper meaning .I was though called a white honky in the sixties by a boy of Carribean decent and told to leave the club-The Sink club . I loved the fact that the membership "card " was a plug ,Oh and I got one after a few visits .

One of the things I liked about Parky was when the old Hollywood stars would come on with nothing to sell and just tell stories about their career and the people they knew. I used to love it when Jimmy Stewart or Fred Astaire were on.

His interview with Helen Mirren was a disgrace like. Overall did a fine job and led a fine life. Could have played cricket but went into journalism.

Uttering a phrase back in the day, that may be considered unacceptable now is a fair bit different than going on a prolonged and clearly racist rant, from the position of being a famous musician on stage, mate.
