The Devils Demise

Disagree - City are [Poor language removed] as well.

They were on Saturday, but tonight they defended well (after the goal) and grinded out a very good result.

When City had Hughes in charge it made me sick because he's not earned the right to have that chance. Mancini for me has more of a right, seems to be more of a classy person, and isn't a tit.

So my City hatred has been diluted by Mancini, as prior to them getting Hughes, I didn't hate them.

So I can take off the Anti-Lescott/Hughes glasses and see them for what they are, they have some very good players, and under Mancini and obviously a bit of green they can really start to dominate A) Manchester, B) Premier League.

A thread destined to be resurrected in May as United secure #19.

There's no context that can support a writing off a team in the latter stages of the CL and a point off the top of the league....whilst underperforming.

I dont agree with the "too many ageing players" bit.

I think Chelsea are gonna pop more than United over that. How many 30+ year olds are at Chelsea? I also think Chelsea cant spend like they used to. They havent bought any big names for 2 or 3 seasons now...the last being Anelka I think.

The thing about United is that they may struggle under the Glaser regime in seasons to come, but as long as there's a market for football they'll always be a big draw for investors. They are the biggest name in world football. They wont be eclipsed financially. They just have to choose Ferguson's successor wisely. I can see United being dominant for years to come - challenged every now and then by one club or another as they were in the nineties and 'noughties', but still top dog.

United didnt get at them, that young Belgian lad needed to be got at, he looked shaky, they didnt even test him. So yes, they defended well, but they did it with 9 men behind the ball, against a toothless team like United they will get results, but against us, with players to unlock doors, they where found wanting.

The Glasier's are just trying to get the debt down as the economic market settles. Chelsea are doing the same. So are the [Poor language removed].

They cant be flashing the cash, Citeh style because they're a business not a train set.

Things settle, the big clubs will spend. That's how it works

Thats it really, most teams have over-reached, theres only really Arse who have any real money to spend and even thats due to nearly £50m worth of sales last Summer.

Nobody has bought anybody really this window, its been poor and we know City have cash to spend, as do the Arse.

I think everybody is just taking it a little easy and saving up for a rainy day.

It's not knee-jerk, I was just putting it out there - I happen to think they look a little ordinary, and when they come across big teams they shrink, last season's CL final, last year against the Kopites.

I honestly believe they are there for the taking this season by any club who fancies it. This is the worse United side for about 20 years, and I truly believe that.

Hmmmmmmm

Entitled to your opinion though mate (y)

I think we are witnessing the beginning of the demise of Manchester United.

These are the facts.

1. Rooney the only real superstar at the club.
2. Too many ageing players
3. No real young talent coming through, not compared to the Scholes, Beckham, Neville era
4. Manager is ageing
5. Owners have just piled more debt on the club
6. City, Arsenal, Chelsea just have too much talent and financial muscle

lol i thought the FSW had posted that then

Arsenal are going to be in a wonderful position to do ace things in English footie due to this recession.

Whilst everyone (minus City) are licking their wounds, they are going to have loads of money to spunk and make them boss.

Er, no mate. It's fairly obvious. United didn't see the worth in Tevez, he goes to City and proves them completely wrong. City have zip and pace all over the pitch, and they have a young and vibrant new manager, who let's face it is from the same school of charisma as Mourinho.

So unless United actually get Mourinho as their next boss, I can see City taking over them now.

Tevez didnt want to stay we wanted him to stay

He crowed about how he loved the fans then went to CITEH

He is a greedy little *******

Him and Mr Lescott deserve each other
