That’s what gets me. I’d get that Dyche was joking about and hit him a bit harder than he meant. If that’s the case though, why did the other players seem to get so upset about it? Why does Tarkowski have to take him aside?
Probably because Nathan already feels victimised by the manager constantly overlooking him and playing proven awful players over him.

I had that when I was a lad, I was a left back and a good one at that, yet the manager, whose son was captain, saw fit to often play his son's close mates at LB despite them being midfielders without a defensive bone in their body. It was an awful feeling and if the manager had tried to get jokey with me after treating me like that I'd have been having none of it too.

For Nathan to then be the one the manager decides to give a clip around the ear to is just weird by the boss.

I hope the lad goes all the way to the top with his grievance.
 

I just think that the last piece of the jigsaw has clicked. Dyche is obviously Davek.
