The EU deal

Funny the decline of the British National Party has coincided with the rise of UKIP. If you dont believe Farage is a racist then listen to him slagging the Belgian EU President. He is not a colour racist, he hates a lot more than that. Also listen to Boris talking about the EU being lead by people with a less than perfect command of English. We are so good at second languages arent we!
People may have honourable reasons for leaving, and that is ok. The out campaign is riddled with racists though, Farage and Johnson are two of them.
The in campaign is also riddled with loads of anti semites.

Right-i-o. If you say so.
Actually Hitler said so.

‘It’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion,” Hitler complained to his pet architect Albert Speer. “Why did it have to be Christianity, with its meekness and flabbiness?” Islam was a Männerreligion—a “religion of men”—and hygienic too. The “soldiers of Islam” received a warrior’s heaven, “a real earthly paradise” with “houris” and “wine flowing.” This, Hitler argued, was much more suited to the “Germanic temperament” than the “Jewish filth and priestly twaddle” of Christianity.

"Hitler said that the conquering Arabs, because of their racial inferiority, would in the long run have been unable to contend with the harsher climate of the country. They could not have kept down the more vigorous natives, so that ultimately not Arabs but Islamized Germans could have stood at the head of this Mohammedan Empire"

Interesting side note. The Muslims and the Nazis were best friends. Hitler really admired Islam and wished that the Muslims hadn't been stopped at the gates of Vienna.
Muslims as with the word Christians describes a great mix of people with many sub-sets with greatly differing views. You can't be that general. Christianity and Islam have had horrible things done in their name. You are implying an alliance that never existed.

So you interpret that as THE Muslims being best friends with the Nazis. Your grasp on history is severely screwed and your ignorance on the subject is disgracefully disrespectful to hundreds of thousands of Muslim allied soldiers from Africa, India, and the Soviet Union who fought fascism at places like El-Alamein, Montecassino, the beaches of Provence, and Stalingrad.
Embarrassing.

Of course I was being a bit glib but the point stands. When I said the Muslims what I was referring to was the remnants of the old Ottoman Empire, modern day Turkey.

Dude that's the 2nd time you have tried to say I was wrong about history and the 2nd time I have shown you direct quotes to back up what I said.

Trying to be impartial.

I started out pro-remain but have definitely moved to a less certain position. My primary reasons to back both camp being:

Remain:
Actively dislike nationalism that has fuelled much of this anti-EU campaign.
I value my ability to work anywhere within the union. I am likely to take advantage of this.
Internationalist in my outlook - I know the EEA isn't the world but it's a start.
So many issues need tackling on a continental basis.
Crucially for me, the EU invests money in Liverpool that the government just wouldn't.

Leave:
The democracy problem, major for me. Too many appointed bureaucrats, accountable to nobody.
'Ever closer union', I know we've very weakly opted out, but as stated above I worry about any effort to form a political union based upon an imagined identity, like a nationality or some continental allegiance.

I think both campaigns are shocking. Awful.

Choosing between the EU and more Conservatism is horrible.

Why do you dislike nationalism?

Just curious.
