The EU deal

He's a strange one isn't he. To begin with people thought he was some kind of racist, but then he always seemed passionate about the UK when he was in Europe, he then developed such that he became mainstream and is now probably more trusted to tell the truth than Cameron or Corbyn. I think I'd be happy to have him as part of the negotiating body when we leave the EU.......
Just hope he'll turn up for more meetings than his European Parliament attendance records suggest he will.

So, you've not completely dismissed the idea, then? Okaaaayyyy......
I don't dismiss anything without proof. That's unscientific and akin to a religious belief which I think is a dangerous way to try and understand the world because it leads to dodgy decisions based on dodgy theories.

Hence why I think you are wrong and leading us down a very dangerous path. Religious leaders think they are right too.

It's just that to quote statistics does not tell the whole story, as you well know. Any reasonable, intelligent, fair-minded person would want to know why certain statistics are as they are. If certain races are not more genetically predisposed to criminality than others (and I'd suggest that anyone who doesn't dismiss that notion immediately are themselves part of the institutional racism of our society) then we have to ask - what IS it that creates that statistic?

What do you think is in play that results in the "fact" that you stated?

Is there any demographic you don't want to insult?

If you are asking me what my own personal layman's view is then I think socio-economic facts play a role but they don't explain everything. e.g. Chinese and Indian people from the same class backgrounds don't commit the same levels of crime. It probably has a large cultural factor too.

As I said I have no idea why it is the fact. I just don't know enough about the issue. It's not something that effects me but what I stated was that it was the fact and it explains why the police use racial profiling. The underlying reason for why the statistics are like that doesn't change that argument.

You on the other hand dismiss it as a reason with no evidence. It's a religious argument which leads to faulty logic and bad decisions.

Again it's showing that anyone who states facts is labelled a racist because you can't argue against the facts and attack the argument so you have to attack the person.
Back up your facts man. Prove it that genetics as opposed to the socio-economic environment is what pre-disposes someone to criminality.

No because that's not what I am arguing. I am arguing that I don't know and I wouldn't rule anything out without evidence.

Jesus Christ, I wouldn't rule out the Flat Earth theory if scientists could prove it. Although currently of course I believe the Earth is round. I wouldn't rule out because of ideology though.

Again using absolutes to turn it into a question of moral right and wrong. Burn the heretic.
