If you're in the pub toilet and a fat young bloke with a confederate flag on his t-shirt asks you if you're 'remain' or 'leave', then apparently 'remain mate' is the wrong answer 'cuz ten ov us will bang you owt yuu leftie [Poor language removed]'.

If that's not a convincing argument to abandon the European Union then I don't know what is.

Sounds a lot like the "I confronted a UKIP racist on public transport" stories that appeared in a few newspaper columns before the general election.

RAther than a load of waffle about national identity, economic 'maybes' and political point-scoring, what are your thoughts on security? Would our nation - and the rest of Europe - have a chance of being safer without freedom of movement, unchecked and without borders? Or not?

Or is it a side issue in your opinion?

With the vast majority of terrorists being homegrown, security is more about national crime agencies working closely with each other than it is about closing borders. Stopping free movement of people won't stop terrorists in different countries collaborating with each other.

Collaboration between agencies isn't solely reliant on being in the EU. Just saying.

The BBC news service is run almost entirely by confirmed Tories these days.
