norway is not in eu. best decision ever.
Don't be so sensible, you're discussing politics on a footie forum.Whatever he comes back with the no camp will savage him anyway.
I genuinely believe we are better in. I remember the dark late 80 early 90s when the only real investment into Liverpool came from EU grants. People also point out the seemingly endless amount of EU red tape in place, to an extent I understand this but such red tape also restricts governments from acting like dictatorships (Especially under our first past the post electoral system).
I notice someone has mentioned Norway above, it is a completely different case to ours. We are a centre right leaning country now, the principles and politics in place there would not survive here. Each EU member / non member states case is unique.
Pantomime or substantial?

The only thing we need from the EU is unfettered access to trade. We don't need them for financial stability, defence or even political support (which we never get anyway).
With non EU countries we have a trading surplus of +£24Bn on imports of £259Bn and exports of £283Bn
With EU countries we have a trading deficit of -£59Bn on imports of £289Bn and exports of £230Bn
The EU need to trade with us far more than we need to trade with them. Of course the figures alone don't paint the whole picture, but are a decent indicator......
i like the flag with the stars on it tho(and its blue)
If you say so. (Although personally I would say we need a hell of a lot more.)The only thing we need from the EU is unfettered access to trade.

The EU grant money is our money. I get the impression you see the EU as a protection against UK government. A bunch of unelected people in Brussels setting rules, laws and regulations that we the people of Britian cannot change. Isn't that dictatorship? Just one you agree with.
For me, whether an EU law is a good one or a bad one is irrelevant. The people need the power of the ballot box to change laws they do not like. This is not the case in the EU and never will be. They are anti democracy.
The flag which was rejected in many European referendums, but still went ahead.

Shame that leaving the EU is most unlikely to have that effect?
Facts that UKIP mates and the Mail don't tell you:
EU immigrants living in UK: 2.4 million
British immigrants living in EU: 2.2 million (including one here)
Annual contribution to the EU: between £8 and 9 billion (depending on who you believe)
Annual net benefit from being in the EU rather than outside it: between £62bn and £78bn (according to those commies at the Confederation of British Industry)
