The EU deal

Anyone and anybody who wants to sell and buy goods with us. It's a big old world out there and we can trade with anyone we choose without any constraints
How very naïve. You'll have to find nations who want our goods as much as we want theirs first. Can you advise who they are before we take a big leap into the unknown?

This is why I love Grand Old Team. Although politically aware, I have to say I wasn't the most clued up concerning the European Union a few months ago. I, like most I would say, went along with the 'undemocratic thing'. I was arguing for remaining with the people I know but I didn't know why exactly. "Okay, it's undemocratic, but..."

Of course it's democratic, this thread has proved that. Thanks @Clint Planet @daylightrobber
I'm sure the people of Greece, Portugal and Poland will agree.

I never mentioned sanctions and that was'nt my point anyway.
I used my point with regard to Turkey joining.
I think Germany will use it's influence (not sanctions) to make sure Turkey will join the EU soon enough.
It might not happen in my life time because I'm getting on now, but I fear for my children and grandchildren with us being in the EU, and Turkey isn't one of my main concerns either.

My concerns are in this order
Law, The EU should have no influence whatsover
Immigration, ditto
Also I believe we can hardly keep an eye on our own government, never mind the EU who are even more out of touch. I would like to be able to vote for our leaders, if they are good then vote them back in, if they are bad then vote them out, it seems we have no control on who runs the EU, in fact I couldn't even name them without Google, that's how out of touch I am
Fixed for you.

You don't need to know names btw. The EU is run by its member states, for the benefit of the member states.

Find nations who want our good as much as we want theirs? Oh you mean like German cars? So answer the question, are Germany going to simply stop selling us their cars after we exit? Or am I being naive.

The leap into the unknown is a myth as we were outside the EU for a long period the same politicians saying stay in are the ones who advocated if we did not join the Euro our finacial services would melt down, you spout the same scare tactics!
Look the EU would you vote to join it in its present state????
I doubt it very much!

Ironic how the IN voters are, to all intents and purposes, voting to be run by the big US investment houses who nearly brought down the EU single handedly. The worm turns.

They made a tidy profit in Greek bonds when the country almost went bankrupt. Why do you think they are funding the Remain campaign. Money to he made.

That's whyore people should be aware of the Lexit socialist reasoning to vote Leave.

Add India, and China two wealthy countries growing faster than the Eu countries we pay a fortune to trade in oh and let's get our fishing fleet back too!
Let's get our waters back, and export the fish to the current EU countries on a larger scale!

65% of EU fishing waters are in UK territory. But we are only entitled to 13&)% of the catch. How democratic.
