The EU deal

This is why I love Grand Old Team. Although politically aware, I have to say I wasn't the most clued up concerning the European Union a few months ago. I, like most I would say, went along with the 'undemocratic thing'. I was arguing for remaining with the people I know but I didn't know why exactly. "Okay, it's undemocratic, but..."

Of course it's democratic, this thread has proved that. Thanks @Clint Planet @daylightrobber
Democratic for the Germans who control the whole dam thing!

I'm starting to worry that people are suffering from Stockholm syndrome. They need to be told what to do, they need to be controlled. It's a very slippery slope when democracy is being eroded before their very eyes and they're too apathetic to do anything about it.
And I'm starting to worry that some people will be voting, not having a clue what constitutes democracy.

We could still trade with them without being governed and paying a huge membership to a club we gain very little to our exports are 40 percent to the whole EU not a vast market for us is it?
Tiny when you think about it!!

Do you know what the options are for continuing to trade should we leave?

It's a shame though that we are all wasting our time voting, but I certainly will anyway.
The banks and our German masters will have already seen to it that the vote will show that we remain, regardless of the count.
The elite have far too much to lose.

I don't understand either how they can say Turkey will not join anytime soon, why even let them start the process if as Camerron say's he doesn't want them in.
The deal with Turkey will already have been done, they will join soon enough because Merkel has done a deal with them to take the Migrants back to Turkey and this deal is the first step in the ultimate deal of Turkey joining the EU.

Do you know about the EU constitution/Lisbon Treaty? Where they ignored countless referendums? Tony Benn believed it to be undemocratic and also most of the remain people who are arguing for reform argue that it is undemocratic. Greece is another example. And now the unelected commission has expressed via Junker that if a anti mass immigration party were to take office they would be ignored.

What are you implying? That if we leave the EU that democracy will cease to exist in this country? we don't have one all controlling power in this country, in my lifetime I've seen both Labour and conservative governments, voted for and by the people. We inevitably tire of them, or they balls it right up, and we vote them out. The argument that the tories will have superpowers without the intervention of an unelected European state is complete nonsense. They will be voted out eventually and that will be the will and wishes of the people of this country, and so the cycle continues. Why do you think we need to be controlled from Europe, and more specifically, Germany? where things that bad before we surrendered the power to self govern?

Either you are deliberately fear mongering, or with all due respect, you haven't got a clue what you are talking about.
Turkey applied to join in the 1980s. They've so far met 1 of the 35 conditions required of them before full membership will be voted on. And this is where the fact all countries get a veto counts.

The veto will not be worth the paper it's written on, because the Germans will stop anyone using their veto by threatening them with economic reprisals.
I'm not scare mongering I'm just being realistic. If you think the EU is a level playing field then please think again.
