Not necessarily tougher, just better. UKIP just want them kept out as they don't like Johnny Foreigner full stop. I'm saying that migration, even on a mass scale, can be organised better. The difference between my view and (if you're a UKIP member) yours is that I fully recognise the massive benefits that migration can bring, and simply believe that systems which help boost those benefits should be in place quicker and be more thought out from the top down.

It is a great little microscope into how recklessly stupid people are in our society though.

Nothing stupid about not wanting to expose one's self to risk, no matter how greatly perceived or easily dismissed.

It's also a microcosm on how otherwise normal people will show their true colours on the internet when they have a level of anonymity.

Oh, trust me - I'd happily tell you the same things about my stance on immigration in person. I'm not ashamed of it. Nor should I be made to feel like it's something I ought to be ashamed of.

You seem to think any risks and pitfalls of uncontrolled immigration are non-existent. Or that they're grossly exaggerated. I disagree. We've already seen evidence. We're seeing the extreme right making gains in popularity across europe because of this attitude and the policy.

You seem overly keen (Along with certain others) to attribute some sort of racist element to it; yet there's plenty share my views that are 1st, 2nd or even 3rd generation immigrants themselves. Are they racist?

To clarify, I don't want British citizens OF ANY RACE, CREED OR COLOUR being subjected to more pressure on their public services, or being exposed to risk of crime of any sort brought about by some laissez-faire, or even the status quo approach to immigration.

We simply must have control of our own borders.
