The EU deal

Any thoughts on why Jeremy Corbyn has decided EU membership is now a good idea after having called it a stitch up for bankers is the past?

This should make things interesting and entertaining. Lots of people don't like Boris, but at least people do like him unlike Cameron, who's managed to make an enemy out of everyone.

This is his opening sortie for his eventual campaign to become prime minister..... dangerous man.
Bizarre as BoJo the BoZo is... if he does eventually get the Tory leadership gig, he's likely to be more electable than Jezzer Corbyn.
Such is the sad, sad state of Westminster politics right now, arguably the single most electable UK party leader in a straight fight between them would probably be Nicola Sturgeon.

He has courted this "Will he wont he" thing all weekend.

Makes me puke. Any serious politician should know his, or her, position on something so important. Not have their ego stroked/make their own calculated gamble on such a vital issue.

Alan Johnson nailed it this morning for me. Supported Cameron, (on this), but focused on the employee rights that the EU has introduced, rather than the retired Major gin swilling rubbish that seem to pollute the argument.

An "In" team fronted by Cameron and Johnson has serious legs imo.

Too important to be focused on narrow self interest this.

Because he can't make a decision or have an opinion without flip-flopping ?
I could never vote Tory, but I do not find Corbyn credible as leader of the Labour Party in opposition to a Tory party that is imploding.

I think probably because, as demonstrated on these boards, it's becoming less and less a vote on the EU itself, and more and more a vote on whether to victimise migrants, either through stupid laws, or by rebuilding the empire.

Lets hope those issues, whilst not unimportant, especially to those more affected by them than I am, are down graded as the wider issues come to the fore.
