The EU deal

We have a trade deficit with the EU. It is in both of our interests to sign a good trade agreement. The Germans are not going to stop exporting their motorcars out of spite.

The problem is that if we leave the EU the amount we import will remain the same but the amount we export to the EU will certainly fall as EU members switch to other EU suppliers. Thus our trade deficit will grow as a result.

That is an undeniable consequence of leaving the EU. It will be compounded by a fall in direct foreign investment, and quite possibly the relocation of existing foreign owned businesses from the UK to continental Europe.

Of course they wont they will sell us anything we want to buy but they might look for cheaper/better options to buy in Europe if we come out.

This is what they said about us joining the Euro. Plus, we could sign our own free trade deal with the anglosphere if we were to leave. The EU is a shrinking market.

We are the United Kingdom, the 5th biggest economy and the EU's biggest export market in the world. We can achieve our own deal. Plus, we can make our own global deals, we have ties throughout the world and particularly, we have connections with the Commonwealth and the English speaking parts of the world.

Let's start to think globally for a bright and prosperous future, let's get control of our country back and let us put the Great back into Great Britain.

what does this mean?

We were never going to join the Euro, Europe and most importantly European businesses knew that from day one, that's a complete red herring.

Europe is by a long way our most important export market. Sure, we'd like to grow other markets, but to chose to withdraw from your primary market when you have no agreed deals in alternate markets to take up the inevitable slack is madness.

No business tells it's main customer "sorry, we're going to sell less to you in the future"
