The EU deal

You would think so but the gloves will be off if we come out and Europe will play hard ball.
we could do the same, they run are utilities, power water ect most of are transport, we could impose stuff on them as well, don't think we would get a trade war either way, neither side could afford it,and more importantly how could the EU even think about it as there already shrinking market they would have lost one of its biggest contributors and markets.
It will cause even more instability for the euro zone, then they go to to a trade war, that wouldn't help them in the least.
Dont know why people think they are going to all of a sudden think they are going to stop trading with us, if there market was expanding yes maybe , contracting don't think so.
This shambles isn't( The EU) just about trade hasn't been for years , that's just part of it,

Those of who want to leave would like us to look globally. Signing free trade deals across the world. Come on mate, Tony Benn wanted to leave it's not a right or left wing issue.

lol
There's so many economic reasons not to leave. It would be foolish for us to leave. It wouldn't benefit the average person in the UK.

It's a vanity project by the right wing* and the myopic*.

* possibly the same thing

So being ruled by an unaccountable and expansionist superstate would be less right wing?

Isolation and nationalism are more right wing.

The issue I raised was the economic disadvantages for the average person should the UK decide to leave.

I hope the media and politicians put as much effort in to keeping the European Union together as they did when Scotland had a referendum on independence.

Somehow I doubt it. I will raise a drink on the passing of Rupert Murdoch as I did when Thatcher went.

What are the disadvantages? Nobody comes up with a clear answer, will they outweigh the advantages of securing our own trade deals with the rest of the world?
Do you think Goldman sachs, Lehman bros, deutsche bank etc cares about the man in the street?

How much does ruling our own laws/boarders ect... Cost? That IMO is a hell of a stupid question as they should never be for sale in the first place.

The trade thing can anyone give me an honest answer to...

How much in profit do we gain from trade to the EU once you take out the payments we have to pay to the EU?

Worth getting governed by non elected people I very much doubt it.

Also Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and JP Morgan have donated to the in campaign. A lot of you have been slating bankers and now you side with them?

This outlines the difference, you're focused on the benefits to corporations. I'm more concerned with the benefits to the working and the weakest.

It's an ideological fence we will never cross.

Pray do tell me why any self respecting scouser would align themselves with Boris Johnson, the UKIP or the Daily Mail?

There's a good reason for that. Scousers don't do knobheads and have compassion for others.

Need the qualifier 'most' at the start of that sentence

Right back at you for David Cameron, the Tory party and big banks. Do you think they care about the working man?

Cameron is acting for himself. Not for the many.

There's that difference again that you're struggling with.

It's sound to care about others at potential disadvantage of self gain.
Look at who wants in that should tell you enough.
Don't forget old Labour were very anti EU including Corbyn before the unions got their claws into him, and it was a Tory PM who lied to get us signed up in the first place.
