The EU deal

The point is that if the UK economy catches a cold the poor catch the flu. People on the margins and those reliant upon Government support always suffer worst in an economic downturn - that's not a political statement it is fact born by the evidence of each downturn through the 20th and 21st centuries.

There is no evidence to suggest we can make good the trade shortfall, the reduction of new investment, the withdrawal of investment capital and the relocation of existing businesses which would inevitably follow us leaving the EU.

This (Brexit) is not driven by economic argument let alone conviction, it is driven purely by political dogma.

The EU is not perfect but life for the average Brit will be significantly worse on the outside than remaining within.

Look at who wants in that should tell you enough.
Don't forget old Labour were very anti EU including Corbyn before the unions got their claws into him, and it was a Tory PM who lied to get us signed up in the first place.
Deflection deflection. Myopia. Attacking people and not the issues.

So very right wing.

Thankfully there's a man of conscience in Corbyn readjusting Labour to where it should be. A party of the people.

This Brexit thing may just the very thing to let the tories eat themselves from the inside.

Let's hope the NHS and education system is still repairable by the time they've finished.

We need to stay in Europe for everyone, not just the few.

Got a tough moderating job on your hands fellas.
Strong views either way no matter what your personal opinions are.

I would class myself as being very strongly opinionated when it comes to politics but I haven't made my mind up on this just yet. Currently leaning towards the in camp however due to the main out campaigners (IDS, Gove, Farage and now Boris Johnson) resembling a super villain version of the avengers.

As long as everyone respects other people's views and we keep away from xenophobia I've enough faith in the GOT populace to see us through ;)
That was my first, and probs last post in this thread. I've read it all, and I'm not as passionate or well briefed as lids here.

Is right. Whatever conclusion you come to I'm sure it will be through researching the pros and cons, rather than the Sun, Daily Mail or Sky telling you what to vote.

Or because you simply don't like people who were born on a separate piece of rock to you.

So Iceland and Switzerland ect... Are down and outs due to not being in the trade union in full?

Took us 7 years to agree trade with Canada with the EU.

Took Iceland a month with China!

So I heard on the BBC this morning!!!

What trade agreements have they signed that you or your neighbours benefit from more than the plethora of trade and law benefits that the EU provide you?

Not all. Unions mate RMT is in the out camp.
Begs the question why any labour man would want to line themselves up with an organization that 40% of its budget goes to the C.A.P yes that's famers and landowners, hasn't had its books signed off for decades, but shouts its a free market when its steel worker, ship workers, miners ect lose there job, but hands out thousands in grants to all and sundry in that sector to create a false economy, that some studies say puts 17% on food prices , when compared to the USA and other counties.
makes me laugh I'm a rightwinger for not wanting out of that

Does TTIP not worry you with the NHS?
