Given that the SNP based the post independence budget on the price of oil being $110 a barrel I'd say they dodged a bullet.
For the record I was perfectly happy to see them go.

The whole economy projection wasn't based upon oil deliberately mate, especially as Cameron flew up to Shetland a few weeks before the vote to ask the Oil Companies not to announce the discovery of new fields until after the election.

But that's a different argument and not for this thread.

Correct, just like the Scottish were stitched up. It's what Governments do, welcome to your Democracy.
At least we get money for civic projects back from the Eu, Westminster just gives it to the Companies it's sold our Assets to to prop them up because they can't then be seen to fail. What do they care, they own shares in these companies and get the money off it, all nicely laundered.
It's theft from the State and money laundering mate.
