The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

name teams out of the top five that do win trophys? Football has changed as we all know unless we get a billionaire Arab to invest its impossible for Everton to win the premier league. I also believe its impossible for the s---- to win the league now.

Billionaire billionaire billionaire, you should just start every post you make in this thread with that it will save you typing the rest!

It,s funny that blue noses hold each other to high standards and solution best practices to solve the problems at EFC yet the board hold themselves to there own standards and play by there own rules.

If this board could move the ground outside of the city, into a new corridor to get an uplift in share valuation and a new fan-base that could be manged and controlled better then the crowd that turns up now they would do it tomorrow.

When will blue noses stop taking a knife to a gun fight?

The Moyes-Kenwright nexus hammered home the same message over a decade: 'being respectable is ok...it doesn't matter if you dont win things or remain at Goodison...you're not relegation candidates anymore...you'll get the respect of the media as "the best of the rest"...it could be worse'.

It worked a treat. That's why the natives were restless last season - we were off the pace of that modest ambition.

I think the FA cup final in 2009 was the end of Moyes trying .

The job had defeated him and he took his huge wages and accepted the years of no money for transfers because he had no fight or passion for the job anymore.

I hope Martinez does not go down that road as well. Being paid well to not rock the boat.

Fair comment. I departed company with his reign after that, tbh...especially after he stabbed Everton supporters in the back for asking tough questions of Kenwright (him and Cahill for that matter). Up till then I could just about stomach his agricultural football.

Bearing in mind the purchases of the likes of Henen, Stones and Galloway, I wonder if the major stratergy as a business is now focussed on bringing youth through and also buying youth to develop to sell at a later date.

Though I would not be surprised if there was no stratergy at all with this shower.

Liverpool were a slip away from claiming the league title only a year ago. I suggest a username change is in order for you.

Without solid investment I think that's as good as we can expect. Newcastle have a similar policy, buying young players but from from Europe to sell on.

Yeah it was getting very unhealthy. A board happy to pay a manager who'd won nothing one of the biggest salaries in the world as long as he didn't rock the boat. And a manager happy to comply knowing there was zero pressure from above to win something.

Scandalous what that said about EFC. Simply making the numbers up from 1999 to today.

That was with possibly the best player in the world that season playing for them, that will never happen again, and for the last two seasons they have sold their best player, that doesn't win you the premier league.

With proper investment it could. If we sell Rom for let's assume 40m, we could get a replacement, playmaker, and decent Cb, if spent wisely maybe a GK too. However, I don't trust Roberto with this.
