The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

They have, sadly the two or three if you count Walton Hall park. We all know why they floundered, and we all know the answer, Joey , I wont say it as it seems to annoy you.
Blue Union have not got a plan because you cant with out money, Simples
.

no you won't say it because it makes the board look incompetent. Those plans are all in the past now!

your last line should be next to irony in the dictionary

Bar Bradford, the ones mentioned were ALL premier league; WTF are you on about?

Some of them have had more than our solitary final appearance.....Some while in a lower division. I didn't say it was you who said we were 6th best run club; I was pooh-poohing the claim.

Your claim it's all about moolah has been disproved by the teams I've mentioned. They can get to finals & win pots on their budgets. PL or not is an irrelevance.

"WERE" ALL PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS, that's WTF I am going on about. It must be obvious to any one that takes an interest in football that the successful clubs are rich and the ones with no money also ran's. Ask the s---e where Sterling is (a richer club) and we all fear for John Stones, if he does get sold it wont be to Bradford.

would you really like a billionaire to buy us?i wouldn't they only tear the heart out of a club and make them soulless playgrounds for overpampered footballers.all you would want is a decent manager and coach 20 million to spend every year while keeping your best players
Phil Neville earned upwards of £50k a week here. Phil Neville.

We're not operating with a different moral code.

Hold up.......You're not havin it both ways. Brum & Bradford got to cup finals from lower divisions. .....Millwall too. All got to at least one cup final the same as us. With less money than us.

What does it matter if the rest that WERE PL (portsmouth wigan et all) have gone down since? By your logic we should've been relegated since 2009 then.

And, WTF are you on about now? (regarding Stone/sterling transfers). I'm on about how money simply isnt the be all & end all by showing that there's teams with less than us what have the same (or better) track record than us over the last 20 years.

Don't obscure that argument by changing the subject to sterling's transfer.

Besides a blip of glory which one of those teams have a better record than Everton over the last ten years? We have been in the Champions league ,Europa Cup and firmly established as a top ten team.
As for Sterling if the S----E could have matched City's wages and ability to go out and get top players he would still be playing for them, isn't this all obvious?

We haven't been in the CL, so where do you get that from? Blip of 'glory'? YOU WOT?

Fulham AND Boro both made the Europa final in one single attempt - Did we in any of ours?

What bleedin' good is top ten to anyone? May as well be 17th, as 7th.

Stop mentioning sterling - nobody's interested anymore and it's not relevant to THIS discussion.

RE:10000 fans with £10k each to buy the club.

The thought of blue noses having to hand over money to remove these custodians from the club is sickening. I,d rather see the fans put money into the pot and go onto the offensive by using the media and independent experts to communicate the real issues of the club to the wider community.

It'd more than cover the wages/expenses of someone like Andrew Jennings.....If he'd accept the brief.

You reckon? I think it would tempt them. 15,000 x £10,000 then!

Could we get that? Or multiple share purchases for those with more cash to invest..

Or 150,000 shares at £1000 each..

Maybe the time has come?

Whilst that might buy the equity the underlying problem of the business being under capitalised would remain.

Yes we would have new owners but we'd have no more money and probably would find debt financing more difficult and expensive under the new fan based ownership structure.

We need investors with in excess of £250 million and more likely £500 million if we are to build a new stadium or redevelop Goodison.
