You know what, am intrigued. Just been reading the "No to Blue Union" twitter account as they seem to be trading tweets to watchedtoffee.

IF it wasn't Bill Kenwright in charge, and it was Peter Johnson... would there be this much support for him? trying to figure out in my head why people are supporting so much, if its for Kenwright or it genuinely is countering by the club. If this was Johnson who had done everything which 90% of the fans know about, would they still get the support?

I wonder if everyone would be a little more unified if people got away from pro/anti-kenwright, and more towards the board and the future of our club.

I might be asking for trouble by asking this, but do pro-kenwright see a good future for our club in the current situation?

I think there are a lot of reasons why many people don't buy into the BU..
A lot of the followers are very angry, they rant at the board, and if you ask something reasonable, often they rant at you too, kind of lessens the impact of the board rant and just makes them look angry and venting instead tbh.

A lot come across as paranoid as well which doesn't help, no matter how far the reach, anything bad absolutely must be linked back to Kenwright..
My hat goes off to those posters like the Esk who have bought up facts and draped their opinions over those, and then sold what they say as fact based opinion, or just posted the facts without bias, calmly, as opposed to those who use guesses and try to sell it forcefully as fact.

Also a lot of other buyers out there have been horror shows, name changes, strip colour changes, relegations, poor managers and even going bankrupt. This hasn't helped peoples mind-sets regarding a want to change.

The main reason though imo, would be that most fans don't care.. Not about Everton, they care about that utterly, but about things like.. what header the heavily audited accounts show lawnmowers and does Kenwright know what is contained within this header?.. , this is very very far from their interest, they will be concerned or excited about a potential ground move, if it fails, meh shame, because what really matters is what happens on the grass...

And it doesn't take a huge amount of knowledge to know that what happened on the pitch under this board is actually massive progress... and most footie fans main priority is progress and doing well on the pitch.

Cup finals, Europe, even CL qualifiers compared to the 90's dogs of war before Kenwright became chairman. This is why the takeup is so slow more than anything else imo, we are a much, much, better football team than before and that is hard to ignore.

The fact we are very unlikely to improve doesn't alter that, and this club in decline and Kenwrights killing us etc from years ago has simply not stood up .

Our squad is worth more than ever, with Deulofeu and Cleverly joining a superb squad with the likes of Baines, Stones, Mcarthy, Coleman, Lukaku, Barkley, Mirallas etc.

How many of you have claimed that under this board we will inevitably lose Baines, Coleman, Barkley, Stones, Mirallas etc?? their staying doesn't really help the argument either.

Plenty of legitimate issues to beat the board with, but too many insist on uses guesses and scaremongering that ultimately, repeatedly, gets proven wrong imo, but it doesn't really matter, because ultimately, whilst we do well on the pitch, I suspect no one that doesn't have the facts already is going to listen anyway. And that is why people don't back the BU, I suspect most don't think the board are as bad as they are. Failing to realise we are one bad manager from being right in the brown stuff.

@the esk has done a wonderful job showing precisely why questions need to be asked.

Kings Dock? A failing of the board absolutely. BUT Kings Dock isn't happening again or now. It's over, we missed that boat. Kicking the board out doesn't give us that chance back (of course kicking the board out may get a new stadium somewhere, but that's speculation and conjecture...and we'll leave it for later).

Kitbag is diabolical...but once again, we're locked into that for now.

The board is failing to have the vision and expenditure necessary to continue to keep up. Not with the biggest richest clubs that passed us 20 years ago, but with the clubs that we scoff at as smaller clubs - Stoke, Swansea, West Ham. They are beginning to bring in money that surpasses our own revenues. If that continues it will inevitably lead to them finishing above us - which will give them more television revenue (our primary source of income) which will allow them to widen the gap.

That may not happen this year or next. For as much as I dislike the main, Moyes put us in a very good position regarding our academy and Martinez seems to be the man to mine that vein, but as player costs go up these clubs will eventually pass us without us figuring out new ways to make money. If our board is not up to that job, then they need to go. Simply because it is essential that we make money via sources other than television.

VIBRAC, Kirkby, Green, Woods, etc? That's stuff to talk about if you're interested in this stuff or once people start asking questions about where our current revenues are going. It's immaterial to the much, much larger issue - Everton must not fall behind the midtable clubs and begin a decline, and our inability to bring in money is the essential core of that.

You want sticks to beat the board with? Here a good ones, especially if you don't say it's all Kenwright's fault:
1) No new stadium/investment in the stadium
2) Kitbag - two shops selling Everton gear in the city of Liverpool? WTF? The local hospital gift shop is selling Seahawks gear here
3) Other commercial failures - not being involved enough with the media, getting basic stuff wrong (not having a youtube channel all about the club....paid by advertisers)
4) Inability to successfully break into emerging markets - and what appears to be no plan to do so

I just feel like the facts speak for themselves regarding this board. There is no reason to be accusatory - reality is accusatory enough.

I am surprised anybodys surprised.
We have been messin up the yarlenko deal for a few days with the stones money.
Never mind we have sly stallone comin over for the chelsea game

Is Stallone really coming over again? but no seriously our board are an absolute disgrace.

6000 anti board shirts for tomorrow night... Sing your hearts out for the team when they are on the pitch, but pre game, and half time make some proper anti board noise.
