Could i know what people on GOT in general think of all these protests the BU are doing? I personally am all for it, but whatever the case may be i know as do the rest of you that our fanbase needs to unite to either force this board out, or force them to do something to move our club forward (i am for the latter because i want one of our own in charge of our club).

Some guy being interviewed by Sporting News on the future of football in America and what the "big" clubs are doing to generate interest and support:

I think for a long time, America has been the sport's final frontier. And I think right now when you look at how Barcelona, you look at how Liverpool, you look at how Manchester City or Chelsea are looking at America now, building strategies to try to conquer it. I think it's the final frontier.

This is what really boils my blood, getting told what we should be happy with.

Constantly chirping of a 'vocal minority' against the great leader...

Wasn't it The Mirror's own website that run a poll suggesting 80%+ wanted him gone mere weeks ago?!

He has failed in everything he has tried to do at this club. We do not 'punch above our weight' we were a heavyweight until disastrous boards have destroyed the 9 times Chanpions of this country.

:coffee:

Been waiting for him to pop out of the shadows and pipe up after no sign of him for a few yers now the protests have started again.

Love how he also somehow gets the credit for the team punching above its weight when lets have it right that's purely down to the mangers working wonders.

It's a PR propaganda piece commissioned by the club which briefs against a huge section of the fanbase with valid concerns, and treats 100% of the fanbase as idiots.

That's why it's full of shitt and why the board has to be persuaded to go.

its got everything hasnt it - kenwright the hero, be careful what you wish for, and "until we have a new stadium we won't compete".

Shows the disgraceful state of journalism in this country...

If they can be persuaded by a football club owner to write favourable pieces, imagine how much influence the government has over them....

The problem with the article is there's some truth in it. In terms of cash coming in, we have punched above our weight. But we're relatively poorly funded because of the boards mistakes and lack of vision.

It's that which needs pushing by the protest groups. There's no point in banging on about the past, it's over. The pressure needs to be applied on what plans the board have for the future, which, from what they're saying, basically hinges on financing a new stadium. If they can't finance WHP in a way that makes commercial sense then that's where the effort by the likes of BU needs to focus.

nah, after the World Cup when WE(the supporters) kept on flooding ideas to them on how to improve our image over in the States, according to Elstone its 'not really worth the investment'. Because 300million people who, i would gamble 95% have no affiliation to any team, with disposable income, isn't worth any type of attempt to make inroads.

It really makes you wonder if the people running this are intentionally trying to lower the profile of the club, they are THAT inept.

As I keep harping on about.....We've renewed our sponsorship with chang 4 times. Nobody else around wanting to sponsor a PL club?

Either through laziness or ineptitude (both, imo) they are krappenshite at procuring deals/investment.......And the pro-board tell us: 'better the devil you know'....

Like i said, a case could even be made for them to be malicious in their ineptitude. They are ACTIVELY sucking at owning a club, to be THIS bad for THIS long makes me wonder if they are trying to be. Even once in awhile you'd stumble across something good!
