Post balnce sheet events note will either be incredibly interesting or a hot-bed for speculation.Back to business, annual accounts for 2014/15 out any day soon.
I am not saying that Bill Kenwright personally will walk away with £205 million but obviously somebody will .If you buy something for £20 million and sell it for £225 million you have made a £205 million profit.
As for easier ways to make money maybe so but the Glaziers and FSG are not envolved because of there love of English football.
I think what a lot are upset about though is the fact that it's not as if he has created or generated that extra worth really but rather allowed time to elapse and the league to more or less put that new number up as a value. He bought something worth 20m, made some good decisions and now has a business worth 200m+ because of those decisions, keeping us in the premier league whilst sky and co have transformed the financial landscape. He gets the increased profit when he sells, because the business has increased its worth.
No reason why he would/should sell it for under its value.
Nobody is saying that he shouldnt make a profit but the fact is the business is not worth £200 million because of anything he has done it has increased in value due to Sky tv money. The only good decision he ever made was appointing Moyes who without much help from the board steered the club away from the relegation zone.He bought something worth 20m, made some good decisions and now has a business worth 200m+ because of those decisions, keeping us in the premier league whilst sky and co have transformed the financial landscape. No doubt my fellow Evertonian, and esteemed accounts guru, @deipnosophist will be all over them with a fine-toothed combBack to business, annual accounts for 2014/15 out any day soon.
you are not incorrect mon ami. I shall be lending much attendance to EFC financials in the imminent future. No doubt my fellow Evertonian, and esteemed accounts guru, @deipnosophist will be all over them with a fine-toothed comb
And it's why they can sit on their hands doing nothing for the club, all they need to do is wait for the next Sky hike in fees and they'll get the profit they're holding out for.To be fair, he couldn't have known that the TV money was going to increase at such an insane rate
Essentially Kenwright, Woods and Earl got lucky
We were never getting WHP lads Never. This board will never deliver something like that, 1. They will never raise the funds needed 2. They don't want to or indeed have the foresight to do so 3. Unless they are removed it's as you are.
Can't argue with any of the aboveI see Leeds fans have been given the green light to buy the majority stake in their club. Our carpet baggers wouldn't even allow a share issue. And apparently it's Leeds' owner who's running a club like the Mafiosi.
No investment
No stadium resolution
No success
16 years it'll be this Christmas that this lot have been in charge. They've achieved absolutley f.a. of merit.
16 years of debt, selling off players, crashing stadium projects, starving managers of cash, manipulating the media, treating questioning fans like domestic terrorists, alienating the local state, ballsing up club badges, signing commercial contracts of appalling value, flogging off training grounds and renting them back, bridging loans made with offshore financial hucksters, other operating costs, shadow directors, sleeping directors.
Just sell up you gangsters.
