Bill is the perfect (or rather worst) chairman possible for us in so many ways.

He plays to our sense of loyalty and tribalism. There is no other genuinely historic major club like us that have had to put up with 25 years of tripe (forget the 95 cup - it was a fluke).

For us to be Blues today we've basically all either had it drummed into our DNA from birth or the newer element have made a positive decision to move away from the Sky elite. We hold our history dear to us and with that comes an innate sense of integrity and loyalty. In a million years a majority of the fan based isn't going to turn on cuddly old Bill with his charming media persona and boyhood tales.

The only remotely comparable clubs to us are Leeds, Spurs and Villa in terms of having to put up with crap for so long. However, in their own way, they've been inconsistent for greater periods which has bred a more brittle relationship between fan and club.

We're stuck with Bill until he gives it up. We just have to make the most of it.

Brilliant post, hit the nail on the head.

Kenwright's not going anywhere unless he is forced to. I've been on this forum and many others for years and we have said hundreds of times.

When have you joined? Havent noticed your posts earlier like...youve been very active lately on this topic, though

Was on Kipper for +10 years until it imploded back in the Conga post days, have an account on NSNO and have been on here ages ago but only started posting recently. Usually just read the rumours.

I'm vocal on this topic because whilst Bill is here and there is no change of ownership we are stuck. We won't win a thing and we are being left further and further behind.

A football result here or there, a new signing or new kit is a fart in the wind compared to the bigger issue which is holding us back. Until we get new ownership with fresh ideas and god forbid A STRATEGY everything else is insignificant.

And who is the only constant in the upper echelons of the club over that period?

The present owners will not sell until they have milked the upcoming TV money, unless somebody offers silly money. Then the lottery begins, will it be a Chelsea/City story or a Leeds/Portsmouth nightmare.

I don't see why people think it has to be one extreme or another a takeover doesn't have to ve boom or bust,if you look at Newcastle or Sunderland for example if we had had that type of spending power over the last 10 years most would havebeen happy,I know they are both doing crap at the minute but I am talking about the money available not the players that have been purchased,if we had been able to spend 10,15,20 million per season over the last 10 years we would have more likely than not picked up a couple of trophies
