I could see that actually. No figurehead, but led instead by a technocrat like Elstone or similar (probably one of the intake of suits they hired in the summer with greater experience of the business world than bean counter Elstone).

I think it's going to be more of a case of plus ca change than revolutionary change...unfortunately.

Assuming Bill was to sell his stake, which is what I assume you are referring to why at this stage would Woods and Earl stump up £29 million each to purchase Bill's shares ? (assuming £225 million valuation) - Earl would have 36% and Woods 32% - neither a controlling interest.

Does not make sense.

BTw there is no evidence he wants to sell his shares to Woods and Earl - this is just idle speculation without foundation.

It would if they're not his shares. It has been speculated on in the past.

didn't Arsenal have something in place like that if shares went up for sale the current members got first tibs on them ?.
