Bear in mind what has been announced is just the first stage of the process.

Once they've done their due diligence, they will make an offer to the Board. Should the Board accept it the Board has to then put that offer to shareholders at a General Meeting.

In order to gain shareholder approval beyond the Board's recommendation to sell, the would be owners are going to have to show their plans for the club and how they would finance those plans. This will be the critical bit in my opinion as far as fan's acceptance goes.

Apologise about what? Pulling him up on his post which had zero info in it.

Note my post saying whats been common knowledge that there will be some kind of news by feb supposedly but not claiming to be ITK.

What next, go into transfer thread and post "just heard who were signing, celebrates with a beer".

Dearie me.

Think you need to apologise to @ToffeeDan

I always had faith brother.

The chap over the park is far richer than Moores' personal wealth. However, you have to factor in that this is a consortium takeover so it's anyone's guess how much the combined wealth of those involved totals to.

There are investors on "both sides of the Atlantic" that are part of this "consortium"

Look at it this way, whoever comes in it's going to be a gamble. We're kind of safe with Kenwright in charge, but we're not going to move forward or challenge under his leadership.

So it's got to the point for me where I'd like us to go for the gamble and suck it and see kind of thing.

We may end up worse off, but we may end up much better off and it's got to the stage where the gamble needs to happen because we're going nowhere by doing nothing that is a certainty.

Let's roll the dice!

I am with you on this one. Nearly 21 years without a trophy 28 years since champions and almost 45 years since top European competition. I am sure the current board and shareholders won't let any tom, [Poor language removed] or harry take over.

Exactly, so I think a bit of patience and rational analysis of the situation is what we need. We've been here before and it's easy to get carried away.

Until I see an offer to the board I'll merely be taking this as another 'possible takeover' that we've experienced over the years.
