Ultimately results will force the match going fans into action. We start winning again and all will be forgiven, we don't and people will express even more dissatisfaction at the game. It's to the fans credit that people are still turning out supporting the team and that won't change so ultimately I think results and not planes will decide the future.

That isn't the banner that will be flying behind the plane. The banner is:

Kenwright and Co - #TimeToGo NSNO

Where I don't agree with them is their decision to go after Kenwright specifically, they tried that last time and it didn't work because he used his media connections to paint himself as some Evertonian hero and it was snuffed out. Instead put the focus on the board as a whole and miserable failures at building a new stadium.

Accepting 20 years of no trophies, investment or any concrete efforts to build a new stadium is what's making us look like divvies mate.

I'm not happy with how things are mate but football is a multi billion pound business, and only clubs with a turnover like utd or owners like abramovich and sheikh mansour are going to have the resources required to have sustainable success. It's not a working class, fan-orientated sport anymore. If these lads want to do something then they need to stop attending games and paying for their sky subscriptions and spend their money on something they can get some enjoyment out of. I hate the way football has become just as much as everyone else but that is the reality. Regardless of how 'passionate' they are they don't have to do it.

You should contribute more mate. ....

I honestly don´t have any info other than what I get in here. The argument has definitely gotten a bit more defined over the last few months. A lot less of the tiresome point scoring and moving of goalposts rather than discussing a point and then putting it to the bed.

I reckon you could easily do a reference post for this thread to cut out a lot of the same old arguments coming up, that are either easily refuted or just baseless opinion. When the discussion is on point it´s very informative.

Kenwright is the figure head and most well known member of the board. Nobody knows who Earl or Woods are.

I don't think Kenwright can spin himself out of this one, he has gone too far. He has destroyed any enthusiasm Evertonians have had. He has the audacity to say there is no bigger Evertonian than him.

So......

When do we all reckon Kenwright gives his first tv interview detailing his widely rumoured illness? This week?

He's going to have to 'change the story' quick before the anti-board protests gain any traction in the national media. The plane thing, whilst crass/cliched/waste of money, does put the issue of fan unrest in the national spotlight, so some would say an aim has been achieved there.

The club (him) will be desperate to nip this in the bud straight away.

It would really not surprise me one bit. He did the exact same last time, went to his journalist pals and had them write up articles about what a fine man he is and also wheeled out some popular ex-players to sing his praises as well.

I of course wish the man a full and speedy recovery from whatever illness it is that's seemingly affecting him but I really wouldn't put it past the bloke to try and use it to gain sympathy from the wider football public. Paint it as a poor old luvvy who's not been feeling very well, but watching his beloved Everton helps get him through the bad times, is being hounded by those nasty fans again and it's not at all what he needs right now.

Can just picture it, can't any of you?

No but hopefully it will lead to more exposure in the papers like it has done already and therefore increase the pressure on the board,

People are saying its cringy or embarrassing, no what's embarrassing is when the likes of stoke and west ham feel they are our direct competitors and feel they can soon overtake us

Fair shout with the stoke and west ham comment, but I really don't think it will put any pressure on them hence why I think it's cringeworthy and ultimately a waste of time and money. It just means I'm going to get a hard time off my kopite mates and try explaining how I personally had nothing to do with it. That's probably why I'm so against it lol

Agree with all that mate. Also interesting for me that during that Talksport show they never once criticised the fans taking action like certain people in the media have done in the past. More a case of our fans have been very patient and it's about time some action was taken so it felt that tide was changing slightly.

Not acceptable

He'll be out looking like Tom Cruise in Born on the 4th July.

but our past 2 seasons have been more successful imo than both those clubs.

and stoke sold nzonzi .... Liverpool sold sterling .... utd sold di maria ...... and bought players with the money . that's football.

our issues stem from poor financial decisions , stemming from before kenwright , and other poor decisions since kenwright took over.
the issue I have with kenwright and co , is they haven't solved the issues and haven't got the tools/money to solve the issues.

considering they are pretty much useless in the areas of expertise we really need , they haven't done a bad job keeping us bobbing along , but bobbing along isn't good enough , has gone on long enough, and luck and time will run out eventually.

like I said , my issue isn't so much the criticizing of the board , its the logic , the timing and the way its done by these groups.
I'd have hoped we'd have had more successful seasons than them considering our wage bill. Point is how fast they are growing they're near enough upon us and will soon overtake if nothing is done.

Sure other teams sell as Well but they've also had money to use away from that generated from sales

Good job Bobbing along, I wouldn't say that, they've basically asset stripped us and had moyes who worked a minor miracle to keep us at the right end o the table when he had no right too, and I say they as a motyes hater, he took so much flak away from the board

the word 'investment' is key here .
but can I ask , what kind of amount of investment is needed and what is this investment needed for ?

I may be wrong , but for me I find the stadium issue is the be all and end all of our problems. (obviously the way the club deals with sponsorship merchandise etc is also important and needs to be looked at)

If we could rewind the clock to day one of bills ownership .... id say the rebuilding of goodison , 1 stand at a time over a decade would have been the best way. I still think its the best way forward now.
