Yep. To reach that point you have to have active engagement with them. That may be slightly troublesome to obtain.

Agree, direct engagement is key, in the meantime if everyone asked the same question that would apply meaningful pressure.

The only time there's any direct communication between fans and board members are AGMs where Elstone effectively turns his nose up at supporters and laughs at anyone who tells him to his face how terrible our commercial deals that he's locked us into are.

Before that it was when some BU members went down to Kenwright's office in London and when they released the exact details of what he said he went to the media and cried about how he felt "raped" amongst other things.

Those leaked emails a few years proved how paranoid the club is when it comes to dealing with unhappy fans. They wouldn't ever agree to meet with supporters now, least not in an environment that is moderated and out of their control.

I agree and there's a very simple argument to put to the Board.

The club is desperately short of capital as a result of 16 years of no investment.

There's three sources of capital - the existing Board, new investors alongside the Board, or new owners.

Which of the three is it to be?

That's the argument and message to be presented to the Board.

If it's put to them on the record in that manner then they have to respond very carefully as it's spot on and a winning hand in a debate.

How can they refute it?

Exactly this - my points are a call to action after many years of inaction.

I am asking which action they should take - if they choose not to then they must explain why that is a better option than the ones I propose.

Don´t normally contribute to this thread, as I don´t have much info to add, but always enjoy learning from every side of the argument in this messy situation at the club. However after reading this thread for over a year now, it seems to me that the above is the beginning and end of the discussion right now. It´s the right question to be asking, and the main issue is getting to the point of being able to ask the board this.

Yeah OK! Come out with the worn out boring sayings like its cringeworthy, small time etc. I applaud them for attempting something which has already received media attention to the plight we are in. Not divvies or tossers at all but supporters who have had enough and are willing to say something about it. Think you have just described yourself very aptly. FFS

Yer it's cringeworthy and small time. Trust me it's not going to do anything

With the right approach, it's achievable to get them to the table on record again.

This time there needs to be a bit more thought put into how to come out of it with a winning hand.

You forget we sold nigh on 40 Mils worth of players to sign rom.

Sound business plan? Lets have it right, we live hand to mouth, we live off the tv money, that's not a very sound business plan

Stoke and Swansea have both played in Europe

but our past 2 seasons have been more successful imo than both those clubs.

and stoke sold nzonzi .... Liverpool sold sterling .... utd sold di maria ...... and bought players with the money . that's football.

our issues stem from poor financial decisions , stemming from before kenwright , and other poor decisions since kenwright took over.
the issue I have with kenwright and co , is they haven't solved the issues and haven't got the tools/money to solve the issues.

considering they are pretty much useless in the areas of expertise we really need , they haven't done a bad job keeping us bobbing along , but bobbing along isn't good enough , has gone on long enough, and luck and time will run out eventually.

like I said , my issue isn't so much the criticizing of the board , its the logic , the timing and the way its done by these groups.

You should contribute more mate. ....

So......

When do we all reckon Kenwright gives his first tv interview detailing his widely rumoured illness? This week?

He's going to have to 'change the story' quick before the anti-board protests gain any traction in the national media. The plane thing, whilst crass/cliched/waste of money, does put the issue of fan unrest in the national spotlight, so some would say an aim has been achieved there.

The club (him) will be desperate to nip this in the bud straight away.
