I love the fact we have got Kenwright, a loyal fan of the club... But he hasn't got enough cash for us to compete year in year out, everything's an uphill struggle. We need serious cash & a new stadium in order to be successful in the league.

the word 'investment' is key here .
but can I ask , what kind of amount of investment is needed and what is this investment needed for ?

In my opinion there are three areas that require investment. In order of priority:

  • To genuinely compete the squad needs investment - £100 -150 million?
  • The stadium - new stadium £200 million (+/- depending upon other contributions)
  • Removal of debt, working capital to bring commercial activities in house, recruit management team etc £50 million
Of course the equity has to be bought also £125 million.

I'd have hoped we'd have had more successful seasons than them considering our wage bill. Point is how fast they are growing they're near enough upon us and will soon overtake if nothing is done.

Sure other teams sell as Well but they've also had money to use away from that generated from sales

Good job Bobbing along, I wouldn't say that, they've basically asset stripped us and had moyes who worked a minor miracle to keep us at the right end o the table when he had no right too, and I say they as a motyes hater, he took so much flak away from the board

again , I agree with that. but we are still here , we have been a top half team more often than not . amazingly we still have got a competitive team who step over that line come 3pm on a Saturday. so today ... inspite of how we got here , we are still everton fc , a premiership football team .
no doubting , the board shouldn't have bought the club , they didn't have the right tools to run this football club adequately , the way they have kept us going is by flogging off our furniture . I also see the new money from tv and overseas as the cavalry arriving to save their bacon in many ways tbh. but even if life is a little easier for us with this new money , we still have issues that need addressing. I said the other day , simply , bill and co have to crap or get off the pot. invest money or let someone else come in who will/can invest money.
I just think listening to open intelligent debate is more productive than militant actions.

this is on point.

For as much as I agree this board we have will not move us forward in the near future and have held us back for years
A fan boycott will not work .as I for one with my 2 sons will always buy our season tickets as it's part of my life and always has been and always will be I hope.
Never been a kenwright supporter as I think he is just a lucky so and so who was well placed at the time and bought out Johnson could have been any well placed fan or another group of efc fans who had the money to buy the club.
But nothing left to move us forward

But he's never mentioned his health once Paul, maybe he'd like to keep that private?

Why do you need to bring it up like Kenwright would use it as a tool to manipulate people?

He hasn't yet granted and if he does keep it private my respect for him will grow. However, what I said was I wouldn't put it past him to say something about it in hopes of gaining sympathy, he's been doing similar stuff for years. "I rode to Goodison on my Uncle Cyril's handlebars, my shoes were peed on in the Boys' Pen, I've had wreathes and threats sent to my office." He loves a tear-jerker.

Show some dignity for gods sake, the mans health has never and should never be a bargaining tool for anti board pressure groups.

No wonder there's no groundswell to back these people when this sort of tactic is used.

It doesn't have to be a full time boycott. It could be for certain isolated games. Granted it's an individual choice and maybe season ticket holders wouldn't be so keen so it's a contestable method, whether you're for it or not.

You're better swerving this.

the cold hard fact of those figures is that none of our board have that kind of money to invest.
