Yep. To reach that point you have to have active engagement with them. That may be slightly troublesome to obtain.

Which is why we've gone full circle and people are back to flying banners and suchlike.

Not ideal of course, but at least some effort is being made to highlight the issue to the wider football public.

Can't believe some of us are looking down their noses at the people that are doing it.

Footnote: The Moyes Out flypast at United was widely criticised in the same way, but may have been the catalyst which signaled the beginning of the end of his tenure there.

Fan unrest in the whole happens when the team is poor. A half decent manager would have us in 10 times better shape with this squad.
This test will continue whilst we are a shambles on the pitch, which we will be with this clown.

Completely disagree. While the unrest hasn't been helped by a poor period of performances, these issues have been bubbling away since King Docks? How many objectively good seasons have we had since then? Plenty and most would agree that our current team is the most talented in quite some time.

That's why I'm in two minds about the planned protest. It's great to see that Kenwright and the board are having the pressure turned up on them and that it raises awareness of the numerous errors they've bumbled through. But on the other hand, the timing is questionable with the transfer window not over and it shouldn't be used to distract from the team efforts on the pitch, which it has done.

The Eighth (in a good season) Man

Harry Lime Street: Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. So long BILL

I'm not so sure - people have been asking these same questions of the board since Moyes was left with virtually no transfer kitty - I'm not saying the team performance has nothing to do with it, if we were top of the league no one would be moaning (would they)?

The issue, I feel, is that our division is awash with cash, yet we have to survive on whatever Elstone can find down the back of the chairs in the Thomas Frost, for some unknown reason. The manager situation is separate I reckon.

Your point may be better suited to the Martinez discussion thread mate.

...and utility pocket knives, oh and the Toblerone (although they can damage your mouth quicker than a Prince Albert).

By the way lads, I've genuinely missed a little bit due to a bit of a family problem this week - what's all this about a plane?

.....my gripe with the board is the overall status of the club. I'm not savi enough to understand the books and economics but I see a complete lack of strategy and business sense. We appear to just exist from one season to another. I compare it to managing your own house and ensuring security for your family.

Today's protest focuses on the lack of success but that is a by-product as far as I'm concerned. The fans deserve better. The fans deserve a club built on solid foundations who can compete not one who's objective is to get 40 points each season.
