Pro Kenwright arguments:

1) Sky generated turnover has increased since he took charge isnt that relative in comparrison with every other PL team - i.e shouldnt we have stayed relegation fodder and had a wage to turnover ratiof 90%

2) We now lease our academy facility - we now have an academy facility.

3) Our directors have not invested any money into the club so our debts do not increase further - have they taken out personal underwritings on Everton debt in order to invest in the playing squad - see summer 2007/2008. Bill moving shareholding to Bill Kenwright Ltd and allowing his comapany to take a hit to facilitate his investment in Everton.

4) We have a functioning youth set up - Barton, Jagelika, Baines, Johnson etc lost in the glory Johnson years.

5) Historic failures are in the past, we can only consider the current financial position - Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

It's ****ing pitiful lads no matter how many paragraphs you waste. :toilet:

Good of him to pay for the shares that he has private ownership of. Well done Bill, and thanks for securing the sky tv deal.

How simplistic, the Sky money is windfall without doubt but its all relative - every other PL team gets it so its not an advantage just increased income. Similarly outgoing have risen but through the present board the wage ratio to turnover has dropped over 90% to 60% - despite living in the era of the 250k a week footballer.

Never have i seen an influx of both foreign and British youth talent assembled at Everton in my 40 years of following the club.
Yet you seem oblivious to this ,passing it off as 'what every other club does'.
Ok I grant you it is a gamble as not all of them will make it,but it is a clear indication of Everton investing in youth.
Your intransigence with Bill Kenwright and the board is clouding your vision.

husband, whittle, johnson, royle, i could go on. we have always had a decent academy . maybe in recent years the net has been spread wider, as it has at other clubs.

Neiler has got some shots here like.

Simplistic indeed, so you'll stop mentioning increased turnover as some sort of achievement by the board?

i find it amusing, claiming increased turnover from sky as a win for the board,NTL anyone?:lol:
straws being clutched everywhere.

Eh no - its relative if everyone else gets it as they did in 2002 - its not like we're getting a head start or a boost here. It shows the skill in being able to manage it.

Villa make the same in turnover as us and their wage - turnover ratio is over 90%.

"summer 2007/2008. Bill moving shareholding to Bill Kenwright Ltd and allowing his comapany to take a hit to facilitate his investment in Everton."

Investment into Everton unfortunately doesn't include directors moving their own privately owned shares around, not in this world anyway.

Fair point, but it gives you the sense of his commitment and good will to the club in a move that cost him millons - some would have you beleive that he borrowed of Green to fund his shareholding.

So operating a smaller squad on smaller wages is a sign of a successful board, rather than a good manager making the most of financial limitations imposed by a board's inaction?

we get more from sky because EVERYBODY does, this is nothing to do with the board, villa spend more on transfers and wages than we do, i agree, but if moyes had that kind of muscle in the transfer market, do you think we would be better placed in the league? making even more money? maybe even winning a trophy?
