*sigh*
The price of the total shares will be determined by the prospective buyer in the end. He/she/they wont be concerned about whether Kenwright has a number of shares whose price have remained static or been increased a result of a rights issue. They wont care about that valuation They'll just be buying the club out with an offer for 100% of the shares - if Kenwright owns less than his present circa 38% by that stage that'll be his loss.
This is why a share issue wont be tolerated by the board. I'd be happy to hear your alternative explanation as to why the requests for one have always been rebuffed like.
Simple. A share issue increases the value of the club to an unrealistic level. I've said this about three times now. Its a nonsense suggestion put forward by people who have no idea of finances. A buyer might beat the price down in negotiations, but they'd have to start from the added value of a share issue rather than a price as of now. Its simply better for someone to buy Everton outright. Other than being a broken record, I think I've explained my view to the best of my ability. Share issues sound nice in theory, in reality they are only suitable to large multinationals.
One thing I would agree with you on. If they did this the likely outcome would be that Bill and all those other Everton supporting investors would have to sell their shares at a considerable loss. While I'm sure you're not arsed about Bill losing out, but are you so blinkered that you'd also be happy for fellow Evertonians to lose out as well?
Finally we got there!
As I said at the outset: a rights issue is no go for BK for that very reason. That's why there was much shuffling of feet at the big table whenever the issue came up.
So it would mean, the club being harder to sell, but BK taking a hit - intresting.
He gets the bill getting hit bit but totally swerves the harder to sell part.
If Everton is priced at an unrealistic level (which is the claim from Kenwrongers anyway) it won't be sold.
Strange that you accuse Bill of pricing Everton out of the market but support an activity that will do precisely that - with no care about the consequences to other innocent investors.
Every interesting.
Damon's the one saying Kenwright is pricing the club out of the market....
Take from that what you will.....
What? 20 ? Plus those additional unsold scarves on Ebay going for a quid?
Bastardise (as if that was a good thing) the club motto. And that's what you get.
Those buying the scarves are saying they don't settle for it.
Nil Satis No Optimism is your motto, Nellers, BT's, Leon's and the various people who sign up for occassional essays on why Bill is great (or some sort of diversion about Aston Villa) before disappearing after one or two posts like propaganda in the rain.
What I take from that is an allegation without evidence.....much like FIFA. Give a dog a bad name and you don't have to offer evidence, an allegation is proof enough.
Yeah keep telling yourself that as you look like a gang of teds with "no status no optimism" on YOUR scarves

Excellent comparison BT........ EFC board/Fifa.....Bill/Blatter. Very true.
Scarves don't do it for me Matty. But I do like the motto. Reminds me how far we've sunk and what needs doing.
Do you think a club where it's chairman stands accused by you (damon) of taking out scouting fee money has much status currently ?
