Id say, taking wages out of the equation, they didnt spend any more than they received for mascherano. Meireles 11m, cole free, poulsen 4m?, konchesky 5m?
If you take into account the carroll and suarez for torres transfer saga, which they spent net 3m approx, it shows that they are not exactly splashing the cash. Not on the same scale of poverty as us(theres not many that are) but not as affluent as it would appear.
