Good post mate. Even handed.

Personally, I think there's a cap doffing mentality amongst an unhealthy number of blues. They're grateful for "Bill" and dont think it's right to expect more than midtable. It's all about knowing your place. And they're proud of that attitude too.

The rot defo sets in from the bottom up. Bill and his fellow carpet baggers won the battle against expectation a few years ago. All they have to do is keep Moyes churning out midtable finishes and it's a nice comfortable life sitting on their shares waiting for a time in the future to get a stadium scheme finally sorted to cash in on. No rush for Bill and co. They can leisurely wait for that day knowing they're safe as houses. I'd say we have another 5 to 6 seasons in the doldrums and then we might see some movement. Of course, if Moyes rediscovers his dignity and ambition enough to walk away from Everton then things might change before then.

Agree with all of the above - it is impossible to believe that under the current ownership things could improve without Moyes remaining in place.

In a sense this is almost the perfect paradox, we want more than we believe Moyes can provide, yet know that without Moyes we will be in a worse position under the current ownership..... yet the prospect of a change of ownership is so distant that it must be almost completely discounted.

That's his point mate.
What is? That moyes should go cause he has taken us as far as he can? Or that if moyes walks it may be the wake up call the board needs? What if it is not and the board stay in place? There is enough things at the club which are not right. The manager is not one of them, yet we have people wanting the one of the good things about the club to be gone.

Everything that could have been said has been and I'm very much under informed than most on here, however...

We're stagnant. We didn't so much as hit a glass ceiling as rammed an elevator into a titanium roof. I grew up watching a great Everton team setting the standard and would like to see it again. It's not unrealistic either. We're still a very big club with good support, decent enough structure and a good set of players, even if in my head were the best team in the world.

I also believe were not far away from the tipping point. We have invested sensibly in good players and had a manager who has got us playing consistently for the last ten years, repairing some of our reputation after too long as being a laughing stock. There will come a point when the asset stripping overpowers the ability to produce or buy decent players to keep the momentum coming. Once that happens were very much likely in for an almighty fall.

We've also been conditioned to be happy with top eight finishes. With the status quo at present that's about right but the way the club is ran it could be so much better. There's been a whole host of documented failures and mismanagement from those who run the club. I don't doubt they have the club's best interest at heart but they should be accountable to a board of directors and shareholders, of which they've prevented any dialogue.

I'm sick of having a fractured fanbase as it's doing no one any good. Wouldn't it be better if the BU done their thing, as fellow blues, and were allowed to get on with it? I can see why some are having a go back as they've been a bit antagonistic towards non BU supporters in the past but they seem to be trying hard at this. At the heart of it is a gang of lads (and I've met some of them) who go to the games and want the best for Everton where we have a board who are happy having us as an asset to eventually sell rather than an investment to grow. We should be careful not disengage fans who are not BU supporters but do want a change of Everton ownership. They're plenty of them about. Perhaps in time they'll gravitate towards the BU but it's up to them.

And those who are happy with how things are then leave them to it. You shouldn't have to be categorised, you're in the most important category and that's being a blue you lucky [Poor language removed].

There's lots of stuff open for debate about how the club are operating. I don't see anything wrong with issues being raised and their actions evaluated. If you want us to win things and improve we need a change of ownership and if that isn't forthcoming then the current lot to be accountable for doing the right thing by the club until it's time to move on.

We've got a common enemy across the park, we don't need to turn on each other.

Now lets hold hands everyone and praise Budha ffs.

Great post by the way, one of the best in this entire thread.

Just that its only a matter of time before Moyes goes and then it could very wrong mate.

Is it too unreal to dream that somehow Bill......despite the clear criminal lack of talent in any field......stumbles onto that once in a lifetime "theatre sensation" show that makes him 100's of millions. Removing his need to seek adulation from retards as head of their football club, and his need to make a fortune from the decline of the club on the eventual share sale ? And ****s off accordingly.

Redknapp see out his last year of his contract and then he's Spurs bound, unless Everton get sold this year, that is my honest belief

The Board will continue in its comatose, denial-led state even if Moyes left - God help us if this situation arose!

Please let this be true, but I think he has more chance of winning the Euro-lottery (at 70+ million to 1)

The majority of the abuse i've seen is going in one direction, from BU supporters to anybody else who even dares to question their statements.

It's no wonder a lot of people don't support them with the insults i've seen used against OTHER EVERTONIANS.

'Idiot'
'In denial'
'Call yourself a blue'

etc.

That's the key for me mate, people should be allowed to do what they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, that's why we smashed Hitler all them years ago.
