He does. It's embarrassing now. Evertonians have been giving Phil McNulty grief about it on his Twitter, but of course, McNulty adopted the media's usual Kenwright defence of 'wait and see'.

Maybe so, and of course no one wants a Rangers or Portsmouth situation. But this brainwashing people into being scared of every takeover in case it goes wrong is ludicrous. This family who have bought Forest have a legitimate fortune in the billions, and a track record of running sports clubs in Kuwait. Maybe one day someone with some influence will try to hold Kenwright to account for his inaction in selling the club, and expose his stalling/scaring tactics. People are clearly out there who want to invest money in football clubs. You have to look at the asking price for Everton, and why people are being targeted to buy the club. The old excuse about the stadium issue being 'the killer' to any deal is not all it's made out to be, now proven by Fenway Sports deciding not renovate Anfield and not build a new stadium.

I'm quite sure 'some' investment is more than zero investment.

i wouldnt start to envy forest cause of some sheik

It's not a case of envying the club, but I envy the idea of a mega rich person buying their club, and transforming their fortunes.

Manchester City are a nothing club with a fraction of our history of winning stuff. But money changes everything, and in time, will change their history.

20 years ago, Man Utd had won less league titles than Everton. Now they've won more than twice as much.

That wasn't solely due to investment, though. They were rich as hell during the 80s, too.

True, and probably not the best example in the world admittedly. But they got on a roll in the Premier League era, and success breeds success. They started winning stuff at just the right time, and invested heavily in their stadium and infrastructure.

We've had no actual investment in the club - not to be confused with money gleemed from player sales being reinvested - in a generation, at least.

Redevelopment of Goodison is possible. It's not affordable under the current penniless board, but under an owner with a bit of money it would be achievable.

HALLELUJAH - is right lad

Everton fans are as dull as dishwater regarding Kenwrights motives, indulging his self interest by turning a blind eye just deepens the sh1t we're in.

Too few really give one - deserve all we get.

There is no economic or investment case for buying Everton based on the reported valuation of the club - regardless of how wealthy the potential purchaser of the club is.

The blame for the continued stagnation of a potentially great club lies fairly and squarely with the Board. Until such a time as a realistic valuation is put on the equity of the club we will not have new owners.

In the meantime we will have to rely on the squad and manager to punch above their weight in maintaining a 6/7/8th place finish and a couple of decent cup runs.

The greatest limitation to our ambitions and achievements are our Board, until that changes what we achieve and aim for will not.

100% this, very eloquently and superbly put
