Re-read the whole thing before you start dishing out neg rep mate.

There is no context that's been changed there. As a whole, it means they've bought Forest for a reasonable price and hope to make money from it. In other words, they/others etc wont buy Everton because its not a reasonable price to make money from it.

My fault if I've put a spin on it by not putting the whole thing up.

The context is you can buy Forest for £15m, spend £25m getting it promoted and it's worth up to £100m.

You can't buy Everton and spend £25m and it will be magically worth £85m more.

You can't buy ANY Premier League club and make that kind of profit after £40m total of investment.

But no, it's all about Everton and our asking price..

How to facilitate reasoned debate: take half of a person's message and post it, changing the context completely.

Got to admire Mv....six, twelve months ago there'd be a queue of posters trying to deflect, twist, spin arguments to take away from any criticism of the board. Keep going son, your season ticket for Blood Brothers or similar ****e awaits.

Kenwright seems to think so after zero investment.

The bigger picture is buying for a good price and hoping to make it a success, just like any business.

You dont buy something for £20 and sell for £10.

Ask youself why, after 10 years of him supposidly saying his shares have been up for grabs, and the years proceeding that looking for a buyer, that there is NO ONE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD that is A) good enough to buy us or B) legitimate to buy us C) think we're a good enough asset to buy in a BILLION POUND sports industry.

This is not down to your Arabs or Russians being dodgy, this is down to your genuine businessmen looking at us and saying "nah". You can talk about the ground, the RS shadow, etc etc as Citeh, Forest, Reading etc all get bought out, but the bottom line has to be the price.

If Forest is worthwhile putting x amount of funds into to get x out of it for a lower tier club. Putting x amount to buy Everton who is a part of a global billion pound machine watched by millions, is surely a good proposition to look at getting x amount out of it.

That is, of course, if the asking price is too high in relation to its return.

So surely this suggests our asking price is too high?

150m, for a mid table Premiership team, with a stadia that "will soon fail safety tests", with ZERO assets apart from players on the pitch and with MAHOOOOSIVE debts.

After "the best Evertonian in the World" and his bunch of utter poostain cronies paid around 20m, sold all the assets, sold all the commence to 3rd partys.

SEEMS LEGIT

Birch, Wyness, Gregg, Ross, various interested buyers all disappeared, and totally quiet about their time at Everton/laughing at Everton's books/asking price.

The confidentiality clause pay offs and non disclosure agreements are hiding some bad stuff about the running of Bill's train set....

Corrupt (adjective): "made inferior by errors or alterations"; "infected or tainted"'; "decayed or putrid".

Yep, that'll do.
fair dooz mate. my thinking on your post was a bit naive maybe, i thought `corrupt` = bent, on the take, under-hand dealings etc so i wanted a more specific explanation

1. Plant bomb in Goodison
2. Wait for board meeting
3. Detonate bomb
4. Get new owner and board
5. Build new stadium where old once stood
6. ????????
7. Profit
