is he still alive?
oh well, another season wasted waiting for the worlds biggest ego to die so we can finally get rid of him becaue he wont sell the club.
the evidence of the past 11 years proves my viewpoint to be true.
he wont sell while he is alive.

Interesting tweets from the Blue Union twitter account:

@TheBlueUnion some more good news, the money from the new sky deal is being spent on refurbishing Goodison.

@TheBlueUnion I dont recall ring fenced being mentioned, although the the club would have a hard time talking about other peoples money.

@TheBlueUnion No details to speak of though, it was all quite vague....

@TheBlueUnion Elstone stated he spoke to investor yesterday, new stadium is ready, just needs investment and financial aid from the council

At #EFC Fans Conference tonight, new investors spoken to yesterday, snazzy new stadium all ready to go, surely too good to be true??

Lots of sweeping statements from yourself tonight.

What about if it was a superb stadium with a great atmosphere and generated lots of cash.

I became an Evertonian and a football fan for the game, not because it generated money.

Goodison is home, if we leave, a large part of the Everton I support leaves me. I have VERY strong views on this, it won't feel like Everton anymore.

Just saw these posts. He didn't say a new stadium was ready AT ALL. See my thread I just started about the Fans Conference that Elstone spoke at tonight.

What about when we moved from Anfield all those years ago.

People want us to compete again and without a sugar daddy the best way is through ticket sales, sponsorship and corporate hospitality to have money to get amongst it. I actually think there must be a way to refurb Goodison to the level we need.

Arsenal make £10m through hosp. Thats an Arteta every year without even taking into account ticket sales and sponsorship.

I think their account has been hacked ykno.

Anyway, if we leave Goodison, personally I wouldn't go to a home game again

even if it was in stanley park?

just a question not trying to get at you fella! as i would hate to leave goodison but stanley park is close enough to "home" i dunno!

would need some **** hot stadium which costs money so we are out anyway!

When we left Anfield, we didn't have the history we have now with the likes of Dean, West, Labone, Ball, Sharp, Reid, Ferguson all gracing the Goodison Park pitch, which will probably be sold so someone can make a Tesco which SICKENS me.

Arsenal have a nice new shiny stadium and make fortunes from hospitality - ask fans if they're happy with season ticket prices though Mick?

If we leave Goodison we won't stay in Walton in my opinion. Even if it was in Stanley Park, which im 99% sure it won't be, I couldn't go.

I would still support Everton, but a lot of it would be lost on me, I would drop my season ticket and prob only go to aways if at all

Everton is the team, not the stadium, which is in reality just bricks and mortar.

With the exception of an unrealistic stadium expansion taking place moving to a different location is the only chance of the club progressing back to where it belongs, winning titles and competing with the best in Europe.

It's a question of nostalgia vs success, for me.

Just a personal thing for me. I know i'm in the minority.

I would be wary of the new stadium = success theory.

City are the only team who have been successful from moving to a new stadium

Not saying we'll guarantee success by moving, but there's no way we will get back to the top without a new stadium or increasing the size of Goodison. 38,000 seats and more crucially the lack of hospitality is a financial nightmare for investors.
